“The Best Meats! I live on Long Island, NY and am so glad I found Haltemann’s at the Reading Terminal Market. When I visited my nephew in Philadelphia.My sister and I would buy all our meats to take back home. And by the way it’s was for at least 3-4 months worth. When my nephew moved from Philadelphia, I was so upset but found out I can order online! Yessss! All their meat is high quality, tender and flavorful! I miss the butcher and girls at Reading Terminal Market so a big shout out to them! But I still get the best meat I’ve had in decades online! Also, my family and friends buy from them now too!”

“Theeee best hoagie I’ve ever had!
Visited this place a year or so ago with my partner’s family and again last week and it was still just as good… so much freshly cut meat, thinly sliced salad, oil, mayo and the bread just tops it off! Can’t get enough, wish they were in the UK!

“I live in Drexel Hill went on Friday morning around 11 they were waiting on # 55 I was # 63 store was very clean very good customer service NICE selection of meats vegetables and grocery items . “I ate a meatball hoagie from here in like 2011 that I still think about. I have never before or since found one that slapped that hard - could not believe those out-of-the-warming-pot meatballs and fresh sliced prov could make that magic but it did.Also tried my friend’s sandwich which was the Italian (as advertised, a true classic - hard to find them like that anywhere but the old delis now) but I was so lost in the sauce of the meatballs that it didn’t matter.Also, the guy behind the counter? So helpful, so kind, so clearly proud of the place and the product.”

“Great prices, just check the dates on any and all items you purchase from here. They have a meat department if you want some "fresh" cut meat. The front-end staff is usually nice and polite to customers. You can find plant based items her as well. The parking lot is always full, that's due to the produce junction being next door. People tend to get all their shopping done in one trip!

“So the other day, I found myself in a totally innocuous conversation, with just some dude I run into every Sunday, and interact for approx 1.5 mins..conversation was about how difficult it is to find turkey legs and thigh bones this time of year (I know, kinda weird conversation to have, don't judge), other than what you get on a whole turkey, which tend to be on the smaller size, turns out to be the owner of Giunta Butcher shop in Reading Terminal Market, and he has these delivered to my house...just like Oprah kinda used to say " you get to have a turkey roulade, everybody gets to have turkey roulade this year"...these things are massive, and the price, what some people look for in reviews, insanely reasonable, couldn't be more happier!!”

“Was finally in the area and went for "the fungool" sandwich that I heard so much about. However, was told that they no longer make it and only had cold items. Ended up getting a cold roast beef hoagie. I was disappointed that they didn't have what we had originally wanted. However, the bread and roast beef were great, which made up for it.”

“To be honest, I'm a newer driver and after reading the reviews I was already having an anxiety attack. I obviously got lost and was panicked and stressed. I called and the front desk lady (I think Tracy) was WONDERFUL!! Calmed me down and talked me thru the streets and got me there. They don't have you back in, you pull over on the street and they back a truck up to you and transfer product there. WONDERFUL people!! I'd come here anytime. No overnight parking, and im not sure what is near.”

“First time at this store and my review of the breakfast sausage is a 5 out of 5. I got 2 pounds of the pork and 2 pounds of the beef breakfast sausage. I got home from work and had to try a few. My 12 year old son who is a picky eater loved both versions. I also got 3 pounds of the slab bacon/pork belly. Just from the appearance I am very happy and can’t wait to try it tomorrow for breakfast. I will follow up with that review tomorrow.”
“The cheese and deli counter at this location is excellent! Amer was very helpful and introduced us to a couple of new products that we like so much that we ended up purchasing. His friendliness, professionalism and skills remind me of the people who used to work behind the counter at the Italian Market location - the ones who ended up in their book and got promoted away from counter service.”

For 5 years I have searched for the beef breakfast sausage links (blue package) until one day I called the company just to be told they were discontinued 5 years prior. Needless to say was very disappointed. Hence the 4 out of 5 stars.. Overall their products are great.”
