Nordstrom Rack, which is the off price retailer for Norstrom, is supposed to offer deeply discounted deals. I've purchased a few things from them online but never went to one of their stores. The store itself is set up very nice with clearly marked signage. They did have a good price on women's shoes at the time I was there, but the selection left much to be desired. I spotted a rack of graphic tees for women for $20.00. After I found a Lucky Brand tee that I previously found in Marshall's for $9.99 I preceded to walk out. I should note the line to check out was very long and was not moving quickly. Personally I didn't see anything in that store worth waiting in that line for.

Went on a Sunday. The store was not shopable. Cluttered and long lines. Probably won't visit again.

Today I came in to return a pair of Vince Camuto flats. The employee who assisted me at the register was Marie ( Black lady, short bob wig with an accent)
Marie most certainly needs training on customer service ASAP.
When I walked up to the register, I don’t recall if she spoke first or not however I said “ hello, I’m here for a return” . At that time she paused and just starred at me…She then apologized and said that she thought there was “more to the sentence” . She mentioned that she was expecting me to say “but” and finish their sentence as she paired that with a chuckle….I then gave her the receipt and shoes and confirmed that the shoes were just too tight. She inspected the shoes as she should then asked when had I purchased them. I confirmed that I bought the shoes just 24hrs prior, at that time she asked if I was sure ….i confirmed and tried looking at the receipt that was on the table to search for the date and time. She then goes on to tell me my receipt does not match and continued to look at the receipt and shoe. There’s no eye contact or communication, she was more so talking to herself. She proceeded with the return and explained that she assumed the price of the shoe would be at least a few hundred dollars instead of the $39 discount price…..She clearly assumed that I had switched tags or was trying to scam her in someway and was very direct in treating me as such. I have never had a bad experience at this location however she completely turned me off from shopping here.
I work in hotel sales so I take customer service very seriously, not only when I’m at work but just in every day interactions so I couldn’t understand how she felt her actions were within Nordstrom standards. Also, if she was educated in brands, she would know that Vince Camuto shoes are often discounted for very affordable prices even in Burlington Coat Factory so her comment that she assumed the price should be in the high hundreds confused me but hey. ??♀️

I returned items I received May 3, which put me at 40 days since I received them. I genuinely asked if the return policy was 45 days because that’s what I thought it was, and she said it was 40 and I was at 43 (which 43 days was from the time the order was placed and not received). She smirked and said a disingenuous “sorry.” The cashier was rude, arrogant, and on a power trip. She would not return my items onto my credit card and flipped her computer at me with unnecessary attitude to show me that I was at 43 days. Her name was Molli or Lolli and if she doesn’t like her job, she shouldn’t work! On top of that, if you look at previous returns and reviews of this store and what was accepted as a return, they accept used and dirty sneakers as returns, but not items that are clean and unused, with original tags and boxes like mine were bc they are 40 days since ordered. I won’t shop here again.

Top to bottom, this place needs serious work. The clothes and accessories they sell are never in good shape. I went in today to buy a new pair of sneakers and saw a pair I liked. Good thing I double checked because they were dirty, scuffed and in horrible shape, yet they were “on sale” for $90. I mean these things looked like someone rented them for a weekend and brought them back. Completely unacceptable to be putting these back on the rack. The mens shirts in particular always have stains, rips or holes in them, too. Yikes

Organized. The day I went recently they had great deals on winter wear and jackets. Left with 4 blazers for less than $3 each! Saved over $600 that shopping trip. Very nice women that work there. Cashiers were friendly and personable. Can also find good quality product for great prices. Always go there for shoes!
