Uses high pressure sales tactics when you create a membership and they don't explain stipulations. They make it very difficult to cancel a membership if it hasn't been a year yet. Do not go to this gym

Update: been over a week, stair masters in women’s only area are still broken with signs on them. If you make the mistake of even signing up for this place in the first place, don’t bother paying for the extra amenities. Waste of money, cancelling my membership immediately.Paying $42 a month for a gym that’s 98% broke, every stair master in the gym is broken other than two. Easily the worst gym I’ve ever been to don’t even understand why I’m paying for a membership at this point.

Absolutely terrible business practices. Will tell you it’s $1 to get registered then they will eventually end up charging you before you complete registration, and they have another ridiculous fee just to register. A joke of a gym that just wants your money. Go somewhere cheaper that actually appreciates its guests.

It’s perfect if you don’t use the stairmaster. I approached the manager n asked what the problem is and he never got back to me. 5 of the 6 stairmaster are broken!!! Unreal. I do not recommend this club.

Edge Cherry Hill used to be a great location, until after covid. Music is way too loud, when I can’t hear my lifting partner for a spot or in general workout discussions.Gym etiquette is zero among the members, no one picks up after themselves. Your momma doesn’t work there clean up. I wish there was a good and true lifting gym in South Jersey similar to The Training Center Gym in DE.Also let’s talk about how long it takes for equipment to be repaired, another issue.

UPDATE AS OF 12/17/23.I'll start out with the good. The gym has been opening up on time for the last few weekends since I wrote this review. Nice to see this has finally been addressed. Now to the bad. I have been trying to finish up my shake pack, and the gym continues to make this a challenge. Since writing this original review a few weeks ago, this morning was the SECOND time where I could not purchase a shake because the gym did not have soap to clean the blenders. I don't understand how this could happen, let alone happen twice in as short of a period. I felt bad for the kid at the front desk as I know he doesn't do the ordering and has to answer for it. However, this is mind blowing that the gym can't even keep soap in stock to clean the blenders. The one comment that he did make that was also concerning was that they go through a lot of soap because they share the soap with the cleaning people. Not sure who uses what soap for what. But one would make the assumption that if there is no soap for the blenders, and that soap is shared with the people who clean the gym. Then the people who clean the gym probably do not have soap either. Again, not sure about the whole cleaners and soap situation, however, this is what the front desk is communicating.Below is the original review with the second update at at the bottom.Ashley, who opens during the week, is always on time, very friendly and makes everyone feel welcomed.Unfortunately, the rest of my experiences at this gym fall far below expectations.Every month, the gym runs out of ingredients for the shakes. Paying $6+ for shakes, you should at least be able to get what you want for that price. The gym opens up late at least once a month on the weekend. This is a reoccurring theme as well that never seems to get fixed.Check ins do not register and no rewards are earned some visits. The shake pack is being pushed to collect money up front for 20 shakes and you get two free. This in theory makes life easier by not having to buy shakes daily and having two cards punched 10 times each. However, when the system is down they are unable to make shakes as they cannot log into the computer. Last time this happened I asked to speak to a manager and I was told there was none available and no one I could talk to because the manager was working out. That level of customer service, or lack there of continued when I tried reaching out to the gym. I submitted feedback multiple times, with no response. I received a survey after a couple of days asking how my member feedback was on the website inquiry I submitted. At this point, I still have not heard from anyone at the gym.A few days later as I was reading some reviews for the gym, I came across the edgecares email address and sent an email. I figured maybe I would get a response there instead of just submitting the feedback on the website. Again, this has come up empty.Update as of 11/26 - I finally received a response to my email about a week after I sent it. They said they would address the concerns with the gym. Bumping them up to 3 stars in hopes to see some changes for the better.

Everything I wanted to use at the Cherry Hill location today was broken. The door to the women's only area was locked and no one could open it. The massage bed had cold water in it and very little pressure. Couldn't even stay on it. Had to leave. So disappointing. Thank goodness i have access to Delran location, they maintain their equipment. It's a longer drive for me, unfortunately. I have been asking for the massage bed to be fixed for weeks At Cherry Hill and they always say, yes it will be fixed, but in reality, NO, it never gets fixed.

I am currently a member at the Edge fitness club and I feel comfortable and confident going to the gym by feeling great when I walk in and when I walk out. With the staff having a positive energy I felt welcomed. However, with my personal trainer, Lakisia, she has taught me a lot of methods that was needed for me to become better. I have learned a lot from her as she demonstrates and trains me on the areas I needed to work on. Not only she just trains you but she motivates, gives positive feedback, and you can automatically connect with her. As for me being in my early 20s, I believe that ladies my age who wants a personal trainer who would get you right and want to see a difference in their fitness lifestyle should go for Lakisia Webster as she also specializes in Glute Activation trust me I recommend!!

It could be 5 starts but there’s two issues I have come across- every time since I joined the gym about 2 1/2 yrs the body scan paper is always printing results without legible info ITS frustrating, you think it’s going to get fix the next time you get it done and no it doesn’t . And on the weekends when you try and getting a scan EVERYone is busy- which you can never get one. Overall classes are great.

I have been coming to The Edge for a long time. Ciara is the Best Zumba teacher on the East Coast! Brian is the top trainer! He's so nice and dedicated to helping people! Ian is very inspirational! My top trainers for Edge Strong are Brian, Anton and Chris. Anton plays Caribbean music and we love that. Positive , island music helps with the workouts. The Edge Strong classes helped me reach my fat percentage goal but now I need to lose a few pounds. Take the classes. They're worth the money. I wish all the trainers would do a warm up, a finisher and stretch in every class. I want better music too but you can always wear your AirPods.

I signed up for this gym thinking it would be a nice community gym. When I signed up on Jan 31 2023 I was told that I was under a one year contract and my term would end on the day I signed up. If I wanted to cancel I would pay out the remainder of my contract and write a 30 day notice. I have gone to this gym a handful of times and stopped going because it’s always packed, so I signed up for another gym. After months of not going I decided I will just pay the remainder of my year and cancel my membership.I was told that I am not able to cancel until Feb 29 2024, which was not what was initially told to me. Now they’re saying I do not have the option to pay out my term and cancel. I asked the sales girl multiple times if I would be locked into a scam-like contract and she assured me no - here we are ANOTHER CORPORATE GYM SCAM!Why is a gym membership harder to get out of than a car lease? This is why people are intimidated to sign up for gyms. We don’t want to be lied to and scammed by a place that is supposed to bring us stress relief, better health, and good vibes. It’s very disappointing that this is how they run their business and I highly discourage anyone from signing up here.

I have been a member of this edge since before the doors opened in cherry hill. I enjoy the staff and cleanliness of the facility. I stop coming after covid due to the hours being changed and not conducive to my schedule. Being a nurse and have a crazy schedule like being at work at 6 am. doesn't give you time to go to the gym early in the mornings when doors open at 4. Honestly coming in to workout after work after being on your feet 8, 12,16 hrs is not really beneficial because your body is tired and not able to give your full potential in your workout I hope one day the hours would go back to being 24hrs open. Want to give a shout out to Ashley as she always has a bright smile and encourages every person that walks into the edge.

Been a member for over 2 months now. had the opportunity to work with trainer but too out of shape. Looked into workout program for my needs. Well I dropped 1 pants size, muscle tone improved and stamina increased greatly. If you are not self motivated you may require a trainer. They are user friendly and supportive. I feel much better and made a couple of acquaintances in the process. Most of the time it is an individual sport. The equipment they have covers all aspects of a workout. I see everyone from muscle heads to grannies there.

I have been enrolled at Edge Cherry Hill for a little over a month. Attending classes have been an amazing help to reach my goals. The fitness instructors (Nani, Michael, and Ian) have helped pushed me to continue reaching my goal with motivation, encouragement, and correction when needed . I recommend everyone to join the classes and push yourself to be the best version of yourself!
