Wow, did he exceed my expectations with his deep and vast knowledge of botany, plant placement and flow, appropriate plantings for sun stages, and so much more. “I’ve been going to Home Depot for many years. I’m a particular fan of their Behr brand paint. I am new to this immediate area, so this Lawnside location is new to me. I have to say, the employees I encountered were EXCELLENT. Janai (sp?) in the paint department was amazing. She was very friendly, approachable, pleasant, professional, and, most importantly, KNOWLEDGABLE! It was a pleasure to work with her to select my paints and she made great recommendations as far as the right type and color of primer for my door, etc. I have a good basic knowledge of painting and some experience, but it was very helpful to have her explain options, the differences, what works best where, etc.
At one point while Janai was mixing my paint (there was another very friendly and helpful young man working with her whose name I did not get), I went to look at window shutters. I was having trouble finding them so I asked a gentleman working in building materials. He pointed me back in the right direction, gave me the aisle number and told me where exactly I’d find them. He could not have been more professional or seem happier to help me. I headed down towards the shutters which was quite a ways down, as I had walked right past them before. When I went to turn down the aisle, I heard him call from just behind me to remind me EXACTLY where they were. He went out of his way and just provided excellent customer service. I wish I had gotten his name because I love to give great employees recognition and gratitude. He appeared to be a light skin black man (sorry for the poor description) guessing maybe mid-50s to mid-60s and he wore glasses if I remember correctly. He was working in the lumber wood area and basically walked with me to the shutters. I would love for management to recognize this gentleman and Janai for being great to their customers.”
“Very happy with our experience! Husband wanted a sycamore tree for our property, and a second tree of my choosing for another spot on the property. Neighbors suggested trying Axtens, and I went down during the day with my son. First, the gentleman that helped me was extremely patient, as my son was a little rambunctious, but he was able to work around that while still assisting. Secondly, the knowledge he had on the trees I was searching for, was incredible! We settled on a London Plane hybrid and he suggested a Serviceberry/Shadblow for the second tree, to fit our desire of trying to stay native. Great suggestion! Both trees look amazing and the delivery process was quick and easy. Thank you!”

“This location has great customer service! When schools closed due to Covid, my high school senior and her friend started making corn hole boards and decorating themselves then friends. Someone always helped them with their supply needs. About two weeks ago, I dealt with Carry in the paint department, he was so helpful and took time to answer all my questions! By far the best customer service ever! My paint project turned out great because of his advice!”
“Absolute transformation is an understatement. I moved to a new home and the back yard was a total disaster. I contacted A&J and one of the owners, Anthony, came out and personally looked at my yard. He helped me go through ideas to make the yard useable. After discussing my wants and budget the project was started and finished in under two weeks.If you have a landscaping project you want done professionally,clean,on budget and on time A&J Landscaping is the place to call. “Expected to arrive at this Home Depot around 9pm, an hour before they close. I live in Philly, and am about a 20min drive from this location. One detour and two wrong turns later, I arrived 20-30min before they closed. I'd had a very long, and frustrating day, and walked into the store completely frantic and distracted. Wasted 15min looking at tiles, absent all problem solving and decision making skills. Next thing I know, I'm being guided to the other aisle I needed. Found empty packaging for the product I was looking for, had zero f**ks left, when the manager Jason appeared asked if he could help. The store had officially closed, but he grabbed a ladder to get the item down from top stock, and helped me figure out exactly what else I needed in conjunction with the tool. I was *shocked* by how calm, patient, and genuinely kind Jason was; I rarely come across people like him who provide excellent customer service, plus, go beyond what's expected in order to help someone. Jason helped me for what I'm guessing was 20min past closing; he wasn't irritated, and smiled and joked while helping me. He successfully exorcised my crappy mood, and I left with a smile on my face, feeling much calmer than I had for most of my day. More people deserve to know that being their genuine selves, and providing help to someone who needs it--no matter how big or small--made a positive impact on another person's day.”
“I was in dire need of fixing a gas furnace for my tenants over the weekend. Thermocouple got stripped so I had 2 fabricate something together. ERNESTO in the plumbing section gave me his full attention in addition to some great ideas I hadn't considered. If it wasnt for his service, I would not have gotten out of this pickle.”

Very nice despite the very small selection store was busy as usual check out took a while but the sweet girl in the nursery was awesome. Wish the employees in the paint department were a little more helpful. Masks worn. I'd recommend.”
