Universal Food Market is an independently owned neighborhood grocery store serving the community since 1973. The store is usually stocked and has butchers on site, a produce section, and areas for frozen food, cleaning needs, toiletries, lottery, cooking utensils, and an international aisle. Most staff is nice, though some service can be poor. The store is noted as expensive but useful for emergencies. A downside is a weird smell by the loading area. It remains dedicated to supporting and giving back to the local neighborhoods.
Not nearly as bad as some of the other reviewers are making it out to be. The store isn't that small, they have a nice variety of items and friendly staff. Although I do wish there was free customer parking as most big grocery stores have. v2y
