Disappointed they don't take debit card to make a money order purchase. And their atm doesn't work half the time and you can't take out much when it does. Finding parking sucks too.

Doesn't follow posted hours. Sign says closes at 730pm but doors were locked at 715pm. What an inconvenience to the customers that try to make it last minute !

I came here today to cash a NY State Comptroller State of NY Refund check with my name and address on it. Now if that check from the government is not a good check then I don't know what is. I'm going back up here for a second, I called them a few days ago to verify if they would cash my check and what kind of ID I would have to bring. The girl who answered said yes and bring your government issued identification and social security number. I told her the check is for approximately $5,000. She said fine. So, I go early today, and I show the girl at the left end of the glass window my check and told her I had my Passport and driver's license whichever she needed. She then proceeded to tell me they don't cash this check. I said why not, it's a government check. The girl in the middle window reiterated what the girl I was speaking to said so I pressed and asked her why they wouldn't cash this check. She couldn't tell then I noticed there was a guy in the back on the right-hand side sitting at his desk. I asked is that the manager. The girl in the middle said yes. I said can I speak with him. She promptly said no? I said what you mean I can't speak with him I want to know why you won't cash this check. It's a good check. She said it's because it's not tax season. I said what??? So, I left out the store. I got my car and proceeded to call another check cashing place nearby Garden State Check Cashing. I spoke with the lady on the phone and told her the kind of check I have, and will they cash it. She said not today. Come in on Monday early so we can verify the check and then we will cash it with proper identification. I said ok, I understand. Then I proceeded to tell her what happened to me at Town Check Cashing and she said what???? I repeated that they told me they only cash this kind of check in tax season time. She said what again. So, I proceeded to get out of my car and walked back into Town Check cashing and told the girl in the middle of the glass window what the other lady said from Garden State Check Cashing had informed me. I told her I felt discriminated against and she said we deny other people too. Then I requested to speak with the manager meanwhile he's listening and watching all of this. She said no again. Then the Latino girls started laughing behind the glass window. Then I said I don't see what is funny. This is a check cashing, am I correct. I find your behavior very unprofessional. The girl in the middle said go a to a bank. Then I said to her why do your open to cash checks right? She got quiet. I let them know that I will report them to Better Business Bureau and any other social media outlets that I can because their reason for not servicing me was irrational, racist, discriminatory and jealousy. I guess they don't get to see checks that big on a regular. Karma will come back around to all of them. I am a professional woman and I can choose to cash my check at a check place or a bank. What that girl said to me was unprofessional and quite ignorant. In summary, I say please DO NOT patronize racist, ignorant places like this place. I pray they go out of business quick. Our community does not need this type of unprofessionalism, racist, discriminatory behavior in this climate in our country. If, Town Check Cashing would have said Ms. we need to verify the check and we can only do this on the weekday then that would have been a logical response instead they opted for an illogical response due to emotionalism and discriminatory practices. BEWARE! I will be putting in a complaint with NJ Civils Rights Divisions asap.

It's sometimes the ppl who make for a bad review I went In to cash a refund check And only one employee said good morning Then one staring at me and the other speaking in Spanish non stop Pls address ppl if there's an issue with their check Hell I didn't make the check It's rude to Spanish blah blah in front of customers Always a bad apple everywhere Unfortunately I won't return

The women that work there are very professional yet they treat you like you're family. I recommend this check cashing to everybody.
