“This has always been the place to go for great dinettes and stools. I have been buying from them for years. Their salespeople are knowledgeable and helpful. “We went to La-Z Boy in Springfield to shop for a recliner. Brook helped us by describing all the different features available for each of the recliners we considered. I was able to narrow down fabric selections to 6 swatches. Since La-Z Boy does not lend out swatches, Brook offered to bring the swatches to our home so I could make the perfect selection. He offered to come the next day and he arrived exactly on time.Brook made the entire selection process both easy and enjoyable. He truly went out if his way to help us make a final selection. I highly recommend both Brook and La-Z boy. La-Z Boy has a large selection of different recliners, many racks of different materials and many features for selection. Brook did everything possible to make this experience as easy and pleasant as possible.”
“Not only a beautiful collection of light fixtures and related merchandise in the store -- and even more in catalogs that very helpful store associates can help navigate -- but UNPARALLED customer service after the sale is made. When I attempted to replace a light bulb in a now discontinued fixture I purchased at L&SW 5 years ago (April 2018), I discovered that the supplied tool needed to take the fixture apart to replace the bulb was nowhere to be found. A call to the manufacturer was useless. I then called L&SW hoping for some guidance or idea on how to solve this problem. I spoke to Lorraine, who could not have been more patient or sympathetic. I know that she had several phone calls with the manufacturer and finally arranged for them to send me a replacement tool at no charge. I've purchased several lovely light fixtures and ceiling fans from L&SW -- all good experiences -- but this level of customer service is unfortunately not so common anymore and really sets L&SW apart and above the competition. Highly recommend!”

“I went to Doughty’s to see and lay on a specific mattress. Antoinette started by showing me the mattress I had asked for but then presented me with two additional options that she felt would better address my issues. She was right! Both options were more supportive and more comfortable than the mattress I was originally looking for and BOTH OF HER SUGGESTIONS WERE SIGNIFICANTLY LESS EXPENSIVE! I don’t usually enjoy shopping for furniture as I feel that salespeople hound you and never let you just look around. Antoinette has perfected her approach to provide guidance and assistance in the shopping experience while still giving me the freedom to wander on my own without any pressure. I highly recommend Doughty’s when you are looking for a new mattress and do yourself a favor and ask for Antoinette. You won’t regret it.”
“I bought a pkg of 8 leaf shaped soaps for my bathroom.They are a great size!!! And so so colorful! The scent was of mychoice…applejack. Sooooo yummy smelling. The service was great and they arrived so quickly. This business is a keeper for sure!!! To boot, they sent me a free gift. Won’t say what it is.You have to buy from them yourself and find out. LOL These soaps are the loveliest I have ever seen and my bathroom looks and smells luscious!”
“I'm very particular about wallpaper and when I began searching for the perfect seamonster/maritime themed wallpaper I knew it wasn't going to be easy. Shortly after walking into Colonial Wallcoverings Paul got right to the point by interrogating me on my entire family lineage, why I'd been to Israel despite my not being Jewish and of course the ins and outs of the Tom Wait's back catalogue. After a brief 3 hours the deal was done and the elusive wallpaper for my new Philly pad was on its way. He even set me up with Gordon the Irish Wallpaper God for the install.I will never buy wallpaper from anybody other than Colonial Wallcoverings for else for the rest of my days. “love love love this shop for candles and soaps, but also always cute seasonal decor. I also love the clothing and jewelry which is unusual and not your usual cookie cutter merchandise that you see in chain stores. The ladies who own the shop are so fun and most times I end up chatting away with other customers as I browse! It has such a friendly, laid back vibe! I always stop in to find the perfect gift for that hard to shop for friend. The staff is so helpful and always packages purchases so prettily that I usually gift it in the bag they made up for me!”

“When I think of Kellijane, I think of beauty, luxury and the best linens that will be passed down to generations to come. I have not had the pleasure of experiencing her original store; however, I would always get excited for the beautiful linens and multitudes of dish towels my mom would bring home. Sight unseen, I understood no matter the purchase each item would be sensational! This was my first time finally having the true Kellijane experience. I joined my mom at Kelly's South Philly studio and was so graciously invited in to see a combination of linens I would have never fathomed could look so beautiful together. At first glance I did not see how it would work. Yet, Kelly has this unbelievable, unparalleled eye that made me see the beauty in the contrast of colors and patterns. Kelly gave us a space for creating a beautiful bedroom scheme without pretense or pressure. She welcomed our ideas with an open ear and always offered another variation. As times are tough both mentally and financially, these purchases are not a daily occurrence. Yet, there was no question or judgment of what we could or could not afford. Kelly only wants you to love what you bring home. Her philosophy on life and how she does business is one I/we (mom) inspire to emulate. She loves what she does and that is truly salient in her work and throughout our interaction. In the sometimes pretentious and oft overwhelming world of luxurious items and design, Kelly is THE quintessential person to make your house your home. Raymour & Flannigan associate Carl Everett in the Springfield PA store took time to listen to what I wanted, and then showed me two possibilities, both on sale. He explained the fabric and delivery options clearly. I was in and out in under half an hour, no headaches, no hassles. And the woman who took my payment was very personable--adding to my sense that my business was appreciated. BTW the store was clean, well lit, and well organized. “Joan's is a very interesting store with a huge amount of fabric of all types, colors and prints. It also has a large number of sewing and embroidery machines. the accessories department is huge, it's the only store here in the Springfield area that sells BIAS in various colors and fine and thick prints, has a lot of zippers, threads for sewing, embroidery, crocheting and knitting.”
