Children of America was a disappointing experience from the start. The environment was often chaotic, with frequent instances of children crying without adequate attention or comfort. Many of the staff seemed disengaged and lacked the enthusiasm and attentiveness essential for quality childcare. While there were a few dedicated teachers who genuinely cared, they didn’t seem to stay long—perhaps a reflection of deeper issues within the center. It’s also worth noting that many of the overly positive reviews appear to come from staff, whereas the more critical feedback often reflects the real experiences of parents. I’m truly grateful that I made the decision to remove my children over a year ago, and based on my experience, I would not return or recommend this facility to others.

*** IN RESPONSE
Yes the morning classrooms for “smooth transitioning” that are overcrowded and the teacher snapped back and said “uhnt uhnt we ain’t got no room in here”. Yes this very much needs to be addressed for smooth transitioning.
Grandmom was never notified of anything. Grandmom was on the phone and highly upset about this daily issue of not locating cups. My daughter is 2 she does not have a backpack and my daughters grandmother was only ever spoken too when the staff attempted to gossip about (me) my daughters parents to her. The cups you’re referring to that are provided are little paper cups that the teachers can never locate either. Your corporation may supply these items but this school does not utilize anything but negative attitudes and comment. You also say I currently do not owe a balance; that’s because you automatically withdrew $250 from my account a week after I removed my child so clearly nothing is owed. I am currently going back and forth while you try to explain this charge and have received no response to the private email yet either yet a reply on a public review, lol.
The good reviews are from staff members.. I kept my daughter in this daycare from age 1 to now 2 almost 3. The entire experience was always unsettling. Don’t get me wrong there are a few teachers who care about their classroom and are great women but this daycare is chaotic and messy for adults and traumatizing for children. This location is ALWAYS short staffed and constantly lacking structure. In the mornings the children are never sent to their set classrooms, this leads to the next issue of my daughter never having her necessities & feeling uncomfortable. Everyday my daughter’s cup was “lost” at pick up. I would have to check each classroom to see which one to first locate my daughter in, then hunt for her coat, cup and other personal items in different classes she was sent around to. This did progressively get worse, my daughter was constantly hungry and thirsty every single day at pick up to the point I spoke to staff , the director and had to point this issue out several times. (Mind you she was potty training at the time so I questioned the drinks being held from the children for that reason)
**
My daughter’s new daycare charges me 1/4 of what I paid for the negligent care we experienced at Children of America. The staff is a revolving door of people who do not fit the role for childcare, they talk about parents to other parents and staff members. Compare the atmosphere to highschool. The director is not respected by any of the staff and it just stems off into so many more issues. I have spoken to the director, I have spoken to corporate on several different occasions of things that are just such basic needs for a child that I no longer felt comfortable leaving her here. My daughter’s new school asked about her previous daycare and her eating habits because they told me she seemed SCARED TO EAT AT SCHOOL AND TRAUMATIZED. I withdrew my daughter and now they are saying I owe them $250 for some reason. Do not send your children here

****RESPONSE TO COA’S COMMENT: (3/12/25) You do not want to speak to me in a more direct/personal setting because if you did, it wouldn’t have taken someone 2 weeks after I had to urgently pull my child out of there to contact me! As soon as I pulled my child out, I emailed the regional manager to let her know everything that my child had been through and how to contact me if there was anything that she wanted to say to me (because the on site manager NEVER handled the situations with my daughter to my liking). I also told her that my card better not be charged because I will not pay another dime for my child to be mistreated. She NEVER had the decency to reach back out. It wasn’t until a couple weeks later that someone from corporate reached out to apologize to me and let me know that they had no idea that this was going on at the Clementon location!****
(3/11/25) BEWARE! Do not send your children here! All of the “good” reviews below are from the actual daycare workers. And I am 99.9% sure that they only rushed in to post those reviews because they are trying to drown out the review from last year from a parent whose child was hit by one of the daycare workers in there. DISGUSTING! Scroll down and see the review for yourself. POOR BABY! I should have taken my baby out as soon as it happened. Just how they worked together to drown out that review, is the same as how they back each other in there when your children are being mistreated. I promise you, this daycare only cares about your money, not your children! I can’t vouch for a single worker in there. THEY ARE ALL TERRIBLE!
My son’s teacher was Lee and she was awful. I would catch her talking trash about me and my son while he was sitting right next to her. I could only imagine what I didn’t catch her doing. He was old enough to understand what she was saying and he still remembers. As far as my daughter, she started there at 3months old and EVERY single teacher in there has had a hand in changing her diaper INCORRECTLY. She had a diaper rash every other week!! They could never keep a stable teacher in her class so she never got the proper care an infant would have needed.
Rates go up OFTEN and TRUST ME, the care does not match the rate. They closed the school for a whole week due to a pipe bursting, and then they still charged parents. Then they acted so cheap about pulling the moldy rugs up. I had to keep complaining. Management does an extremely poor job at running this place. They allow a lot of mistreatment. Stuff is not usually handled unless someone reports it to the a.buse hotline. If it’s not about the dollar sign, they do not care! Then they would have the nerve to gossip and have an attitude with me because I was mad about my child being mistreated!!
This place TRAUMATIZED me about sending my child to daycare. My baby is now in another daycare and I have so much more relief in my life. This is the short version of what I wanted to tell. Do yourself a favor and find a different place!

I have nothing but great things to say about Children of America-Clementon. Because they bus to some of the local elementary schools in the area, I send my daughter there for Before and Aftercare. Ms. Kaleela and Ms. Y'vette takes good care of her as they travel on the bus every morning to school. My son who is 3 years old is in Ms. Talema's class. I can't believe how much he is learning. Not only is he learning his letters, numbers, and colors, but he is learning how to write and be more independent. Thank you to all the teachers and staff at COA Clementon. You are amazing.

My daughter has been coming here for 3 years now and I will be sad for the day she has to leave. The staff has been nothing
but loving and kind since the day she has started I would like to give a special shout out to Miss Jessica and Miss Lee. They have been wonderful teachers to my daughter. she loves them and talks about them constantly, and I have really seen her grow academically while she was in their class. If she didn’t have to go to kindergarten, I would gladly have her in their class for another year. I am thankful to have such loving and caring people working with my daughter

My children recently started to attend Children of America and the experience I received has been amazing. From the people at the front desk, being welcoming, to the teachers who supervise my children ,Paula and Tomika , giving me updates on how my children’s day went .The bus drivers and aide who drive my children to and from, Khaleela and Yvette. My experience overall has been amazing.

Ms Lee has been a true blessing to our lives. 7 years ago she was my daughters preschool teacher and we will never forget the impact she has had on our lives. Pre K was during covid andher and her team made sure the children still had graduation that year. Ms Lee is always there when we need her and we will love her forever
Ms Jessica has been awesome. She was also my daughters pre K teacher and to this day she continues to be a great part of her life always encouraging her along the way
Ms Grace is always seen smiling and greeting everyone helping out in any way possible. She is so sweet and always willingto lend a helping hand.
Ms Kaleela is the bus driver and she gets my daughter to and from school safe and sound each day. She goes above and beyond encouraging the students to have a great school day. She doesnt stop there she checks and makes sure they have everything they need and makes sure they look presentable. She keeps them safe and makes sure they do all they are supposed to. After driving she is in COA getting them started on homework and making sure they are doing what they should be.
In the past year I have been very sick and this team at COA Clementon has gone above and beyond making sure my daughter is not only taken care of but makes sure she is comforted and checked on when im not available. They assist with drop off and pick up and making sure she has all that they need.
COA Clementon is TOP TIER!!! Nobody compares to these gifted people. I truly do not know where I would have been without them these past 7 years.
I salute all of you and truly love all of you. We are family for life!

If it was an option to give negative stars I would. I used to work for this exact location in 2021 while I was pregnant and I fell in love. Yes it was a working progress due to Covid but it was still a very good facility. The director zeb was amazing. When I enrolled my son under Ashley and Brittney it was smooth sailing. Any time I had an issue it was taken seriously and resolved. I felt as though my child was learning and progressing which is even more important due to the fact that my child was a premature baby. Now fast forward to the new director Mya. She is unprofessional, rude, and very passive aggressive. She fired A LOT of staff without adequate replacements. I fear for my child’s safety, my final straw was picking up my son with yet again another mark on his body. The teachers are on their phones more than they pay attention to the children in their care. My son has gone hours without anything to drink due to their negligence, my child’s items have been stollen. And at this point I’m starting to believe certain teachers get enjoyment out of seeing kids get physical with one another. I could go on and on, moral of the story DONT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE! The new management has this place going up in flames !

They Need To Do Better or Shut That Place Down. That Director Needs To Be Fired for Neglecting Those Poor Babies. If You Have A Baby In There Who Cant Speak I Would Pull Them Out of There ASAP

Absolutely the worst day care ever I worked for COA and immediately regretted applying after I seen how they treat the kids especially babies and when you show genuine concern for your child to the director she immediately will shut you down and not do anything to secure your child's safety, I would NOT recommend sending your child here at all.
