The way I see it, they owe me 3 stars.
Incompetent, rude, and grossly overpriced. Disgustingly rude to my mother when she filed as well. Nice job losing a 5+ year client due to ineptitude and laziness. Go to William Katchen, also in town, for a professional, efficient, and pleasant process.

My tax preparer Claudia Pregliasco was outstanding. Claudia set a 4pm appointment to review my filing. My appointment was only delayed by 10 mins which was more tha understandable. Claudia took great care in explaining my tax preperation. I never felt rushed and Claudia seem to genuinely care.

So expensive just to file. There are cheaper options and I will be filing elsewhere next year. No relief for a 5+ year loyal member. The preparer tried to scan a coupon for me, but it didn't work so she said there was nothing she could do.

My recent interaction with H&R Block, specifically the Cliffside Park location, left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. As a longstanding customer of H&R Block, I expected a level of service and support that unfortunately was not met during this encounter.Upon contacting the Cliffside Park branch to inquire about filing an extension, I was met with indifference and a lack of willingness to assist. Despite explaining my situation as a loyal customer whose tax agent was hospitalized, the response I received was disheartening. I was informed that although they do work with businesses, they were unwilling to help with a simple extension request. What was most concerning was the reason given – not a lack of availability or time, but rather a refusal due to not receiving compensation for what they deemed as a “few-minute service.”This response not only demonstrated a lack of empathy and understanding but also highlighted a concerning prioritization of profit over customer service. As someone who has entrusted H&R Block with my tax needs for years, this attitude was both unexpected and disappointing.It’s disheartening to see a company prioritize profit over assisting loyal customers, especially during times of need. I hope this feedback serves as an opportunity for H&R Block to reconsider their approach to customer service and ensure that all customers, regardless of the perceived profitability of their request, are treated with the respect and assistance they deserve.In conclusion, my experience at H&R Block’s Cliffside Park location fell far short of the level of service and support I have come to expect as a loyal customer. Moving forward, I will be exploring alternative options for my tax needs.

Last year, my taxes were done here incorrectly resulting in a delay and deduction in my return. I figured I'd give them another try this year and I should have known better. After submitting everything, a month later I found out they didn't submit my taxes, which caused multiple visits to this cliff side park location, multiple calls, follow ups and a major delay in my tax refund again. I was told due to their mess up I would get a reimbursed for the cost of my taxes. I still haven't received that reimbursement from them, which just looks like they said it to make me happy in the moment. I do not recommend anyone getting their taxes done here, unless you're looking for more stress during tax season. Just for clarification, I submitted all my paperwork In February and was still waiting for clarification and their submission in April. It's now the end of July and still haven't heard anything about the cost reimbursement.

I called there a few weeks ago to book an appointment and a young woman answered the phone. She was nice, I think her name was Mera or Miracle. Very pleasant about making an appointment with me. I really like the atmosphere in H&R Block with their music, people, etc. However the Tax pro Irena has a hostile attitude towards everyone and she acts very entitled. I did my taxes with Teresita and I loved the experience with her and I also had the pleasure of meeting and loved Claudia too. I would give it 5 stars if that one tax pro wasn't so rude to everyone. Not good for business.

I had a wonderful experience with Claudia. She handled everything I needed in a professional and organized manner. She is a pleasure to work with and made my tax filing experience pleasant and easy while brightening my day. She even gave me advice about my aunt's tax situation (I am my aunt's POA) and was very helpful in getting me the right help. She deserves a raise.

I have been coming to this location for the past three years to prepare my taxes. It has been a pleasant experience until this year. The tax preparer agent who helped me this year, made a comment about my country of origin, that I did not appreciate. It was distasteful and unprofessional. Moving forward he kept making mistakes while inputting the information. When he wrapped up my paper work he gives me a copy and says I can go. Then proceeded to call me to come back expressing he made a mistake and had to fix it. I asked if I needed a revised and edited copy he said no. I left the office, I would not return next year. The process was uncomfortable and rushed. Hopefully other people do not go through this.
