Acetoned down polish, chipping within a day. Painful! I get regular pedi at least once a month, rarely any pain. Cuticles left jagged. Cheap prices, cheap mani/pedi.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.I was there to have my nails done, I asked for powder gel. The girl I think her name was Karen (spanish speaker) was selected as my tech. She had NO CLUE how to do gel nails, the owner kept telling her how to do. Long story short, my nails were horribly done, all chipped and uneven ( I do better job myself at home)To make thing worse she hurt my cuticles and nails with the electric nail tool, and when complained about it she spoke Spanish with her coworkers complaining about me “ she wants nails done but cannot handle pain””???? Really???I still tipped her thinking and I was super nice. Next day one of the nails fall off and within 4 days all of them followed the first one.WORST MONEY SPENT EVER!!!!Rude people and the worst work.Service: Manicure

Always happy with my pedicure. Usually do the spa pedicure and get the extra massage. Some girls better than others, but mostly just the massage part. They are always busy. You can wait up to 15 minutes to get started. Never had a bad overall experience.

Whenever I review a business, I always try to experience it multiple times to get a true feel of the place. I've been going for about a year now, and there are very definitive pros and cons.Ocean Nails is owned by Kash, and let me just say, she is an INCREDIBLY hard worker. Also, keep in mind that the vibe at Ocean Nails is not very warm and welcoming - while it is very quiet and tranquil, the workers aren't particularly friendly or warm. They're polite, but kind of cold. I can get by that, however, because I am here for quality nail services. However, there are some true hiccups that I have experienced several times while patronizing Ocean Nails, and like anything else, little things add up to big things. Now, I see these practices a regular part of the Ocean Nail experience, and will ultimately lead me to seek out other nail places. Like baseball, three strikes and you're out, and I experienced all these things the last time I was at Ocean Nails.Strike one: The wait time is obnoxious. Whether you are walking in, making an appointment the day before, or making an appointment weeks in advance, you are going to be waiting at least a half hour. Last Tuesday, my appointment was at 3:30, and I got there on time, and my pedicure did not start until 4:15. The technician did work on me for a full 45 minutes which was nice, but then I had to wait ANOTHER HALF HOUR (so that's 5:30) until Kash worked on my fill in. I was there UNTIL 7:00. THREE AND A HALF HOURS for a UV fill in and a pedicure, and during those 3 hours, I waited a combined hour and a half to get served. WHAT?! My entire night was destroyed, and I am a teacher, and this was after working all day. That's all to say - clear your calendar if you want to come into Ocean Nails. But you know why I had to wait? It's because...Strike Two: They serve walk-in customers before they take people with appointments. This has happened to me quite a few times at Ocean Nails - they do not want to refuse the business, and they take on more than they can chew, and then suddenly, everything is backed up. It is important for a business to know when to say no - ask the customer to make an appointment another day or simply turn them away and tell them to come back. Why am I making an appointment a month in advance, only to have to sit there and wait for nearly an hour for a walk-in customer? And finally, strike three...and this is nothing personal against Kash (as she is extremely talented and a hard worker), but she will oftentimes not give me what I want, or argue with me about what I want. I am not an assertive person, and speaking up for services is very uncomfortable for me . Kash WILL NOT budge if she doesn't like the design, or if you want short nails, or if you don't have a picture of what you want. There are times I've had an idea in my head - nope, sorry, need a photo. There are times when I've shown a photo and have gotten something completely different. And particularly, I get resistance about nail length. If there is a design that's beyond a simple one, she will not cut my nails down, or she'll promise "I'll file them later" and then never file them. This has happened many, many times, and they always end up ripping off because they're so long. There are pros about Ocean Nails. The technicians are all great, they offer a cash discount and bundle services (a pedicure is free with a UV gel fill in), their pedicures are awesome, and they offer waxing and massages. However, after my last three-and-a-half hour experience, plus the fact that I had to argue tooth and nail (no pun intended) to get my nails filed down and the design I wanted, I do not think I will be going back there any time soon.I hope that Ocean Nails reads this review and updates their business practices. These small things lead to big cracks in a business's foundation, and will eventually lead customers like me to leave and not come back.

Whenever I review a business on Yelp, I always try to experience it multiple times to get a true feel of the place. Having said this, I've definitely been to Ocean Nails enough to grasp what kind of place this is. I've been going for about a year now, and there are very definitive pros and cons. I am not a stranger to getting my nails done, as I usually sport a set of UV Gel nails. I love nail art and I take pride in investing in fun and funky designs. The nail market in this area is saturated, but not all places offer intricate nail art that I crave. As you can see by my photos, I have gotten some great work done at Ocean Nails, and if that's your main priority, you will most likely be satisfied with the outcome. Ocean Nails is owned by Kash, and let me just say, she is an INCREDIBLY hard worker and runs a tight ship. All of the technicians respect her, and I love that Kash is an example of the American Dream. She works her TAIL off, and I respect her business . In addition, I cannot give this place any less than three stars because I do always leave mostly satisfied with my nails. Keep in mind that the vibe at Ocean Nails is not very warm and welcoming - while it is very quiet and tranquil, the workers aren't particularly friendly or warm. They're polite, but kind of cold. I can get by that, however, because I am here for quality nail services. And most of the time, I am getting just that. However, there are some true hiccups that I have experienced several times while patronizing Ocean Nails, and like anything else, little things add up to big things. The first few times I've experienced these things,I decided to give this place the benefit of the doubt. But now, I see these practices a regular part of the Ocean Nail experience, and will ultimately lead me to seek out other nail places. I usually never write reviews online, but for this I feel the need to. Ive only been to this place twice and they have both been very unpleasant experiences. The first time I ever went in with a friend, we were greeted rudely by a lady in the front named Kash. I don’t understand the hostile behavior. She did not care that we were new customers at all and it seemed like she was trying to push us out… ! I had made an appointment for my friend and I for acrylic and gel tips. We sat down and she told my friend that Sarah is her tech. HOWEVER, 5min in and Kash kept telling us that Sarah has an appointment in a half an hour and that she can’t do my friends nails anymore. We were so confused… like we made our appointment ahead of time…When we asked her what does she mean she kept sighing and rolling her eyes. We were shocked the way she was acting towards us. Extremely immature and disrespectful.HOWEVER I gave it another try yesterday. I go in and she tells me that it’s going to be a 30min wait bc they were running behind. I said okay I understand and that I’d wait. 30min pass by and we ask her if we’re going to be taken bc we had plans after, which we actually did. She says “yea yea we’ll be ready in 5 min”. Meanwhile she had just started someone new and so did her other tech… it goes to an hour of wait and my friend and I were sooo late for our other appointment and we decided we had enough and got up to leave. She then makes a comment “which one of you wants to go first” AFTER we got up and she was still taking care of another customer. We ended up leaving and will never be going back there bc of Kash. I think she’s the owner of the place which is even more sad that she treats people like that. I understand if we were rude people or if we did something to her, but that was never the case. Their work is good but it’s not worth me feeling uncomfortable and disrespected . 0/10 for customer treatment.
