I have been coming to Good Choice for over a yr, as a new resident to NJ. I tried a few other places in Clifton/Passaic but was not satisfied.
The salon itself is clean and comforting, and everyone is super kind.
Julie does incredible work and has made my experience with acrylics easy and fun. She is meticulous and always fulfills on designs - not to mention being a pleasure to chat with during my fills!
They have all kinds of polish and jewels.
I would recommend Good Choice to anyone who wants their nails done somewhere that honors appointments, takes care of your cuticles properly, and has a sense of artistry to their work.
I've never had a bad experience and I generally come every month.

I went for a pedicure. I explained to the lady not to use a nail clipper just to file my nail because usually when that happens, I get it ingrown she ignored me. She cut one now and I can’t walk. My toe hurts. I went back in there, and I asked her to fix the row and she wanted to charge me for another pedicure, which is terrible because I was telling her from that same moment I will never go there again or recommend this place to anyone. I would like to add that the place was a little dirty. There was roaches. I should’ve left from the beginning, but I was in a hurry. The owner was very rude not comforting at all disrespectful the employees were very nice, but the owner whole different level.

I walked in today having already been here once before on July 16th for acrylic nails, but this time I went for simple and got regular nail polish with a manicure. The salon itself is beautiful and chic, with good music and television playing!
I originally wanted a basic French tip manicure (white), but after being prepped by one of the staff members, they asked me to pick a color. I just wanted a clear base with a clean look, but instead chose two colors and she picked my base for me. I was hoping the colors would be swapped but I didn't want to interrupt her work so I'm complacent with the results. I have a habit of biting my nails from being anxious, and the manicure helped with that! I do wish there was more uniformity in design, she was a bit preoccupied while working but it was fine.
The first time I came in, there was alot of tension between me and the staff (im assuming a relative of the new owner and the same lady who did my nails this time), as I was indecisive of what I wanted in terms of shape and color. They were upset with me, so I stayed quiet most of that time. And it really hurt, my nail bed was dug into with the filing machine which later made it incredibly painful to remove the extensions. However the polish itself was lovely and lasted over a month before chipping, very strong glue.
The first session lasted from 12:40pm to 2:20pm ($80), and this second time was quick from 12:34pm to 1:10pm ($30). I appreciated how much more gently they worked with me this time around, I wasn't flinching constantly anymore and it was an enjoyable sit down experience. Thank you again for the service!
