Love this studio! The staff was so welcoming. They were able to answer all my questions without it seeming like a chore. I even heard the smile in their voice over the phone before coming in. Great job! Thank you!

Our daughter has been dancing at DWA since 4th grade and is now in high school. We're pleased with the quality of instruction she's received and really appreciate the professionalism of the staff. They are very approachable and have always been responsive to questions or concerns when we've had them. We've always felt the staff at Dance World Academy have our daughter's best interest at heart and so appreciate the poise and incredible confidence that have helped her develop. We're proud to be a DWA family!!! Totally recommend if you are looking for an awesome dance studio!

My two nieces dance at Dance World Academy, and I go to all their dance competitions. It brings me so much happiness to watch my loved ones perform, but I also enjoy watching their friends and the entire studio. They are all very skilled and synchronized. The teachers are extremely talented to create so many different dance styles. No dancer stands out as a weak link. DWA is definitely the place to be!

• I gave more than 1 star for Ms. Debbie because she was kind. When I first received a call back regarding information on enrollment it was from Ms Debbie, she was super sweet and I looked forward to this studio greatly. Sadly the staff at this studio are extremely rude. I don’t understand how you could work with children and be so miserable / blatantly rude. Especially the woman with curly hair. She ignores parents, makes faces at them, I’ve heard her make snarky remarks about kids when their parents leave etc.. and she is trusted to take the kids to the bathroom. Me personally I would not trust her at all or leave during the hour. I also don’t like the fact that you cannot watch your children what so ever, you have no idea really how they are doing in the class. Even when they’re setting up, the front desk lady quickly shuts the door in their face. I have seen a 3 year old girl talking to her mom by the door before class started and she shut the door in her face and said “this is exactly why the door stays shut”. As for Ms Debbie, she sounds nice with the children (you can hear mostly everything) but I’ve asked how my daughter was doing and I only received short negative feedback. “She only did 2 dances today”. I asked my daughter why that was and she said because the dances were too fast for her. Another time I went in the room to get my daughter ready to leave and immediately noticed she had a very swollen lip with dried up blood on her mouth. I asked the teachers what happened and they had no idea. That was the last time i took my daughter there. Now my daughter attends MVMT, it really is amazing, has cameras and windows in the door.. and my daughter does so well there that I question the feedback I was given at this studio. I was sad at first we couldn’t stick to this place because my daughter really loves dancing and I hated to switch her after her getting used to the school, but the cons most definitely outweigh the pros And I am thankful we found a much better studio.*Update and response. Yes I was there in the fall to be taken into the room and see what the children were learning. Sadly it was the teacher dancing, all the children sitting, and her asking us parents to do the dance moves. Still does not give you an idea of how your child is preforming.

My daughter loves dancing at Dance World Academy. It is one of the few dance places that actually teach the recreational students and don't just focus on their competition students! As a music teacher, I sincerely appreciate the way that Dance World Academy teaches correct dance technique to every single student. They are a disciplined school for people who want their children to learn correctly and increase their focus. My child had trouble focusing in school and the teachers really helped her improve her ability to concentrate. They have fun too! They are laughing a lot and the teachers are generous with stickers and candy!

Dance World Academy has been around in our community for 45 years. My daughter grew up there and she absolutely loved it and my granddaughter attends now and learns so much. It is a diverse environment where everyone is treated fairly and equally. They probably have more graduates working in a dance industry than any other dance school in the area! Their staff is amazing and completely diverse. It is a disciplined environment that teaches children a lot of confidence. the school’s reputation for excellence and dance speaks for itself.

I love this dance school! I have been to other dance schools with my children and this school actually teaches them and encourages practicing! I want my children to have fun but I also want them to learn proper dance technique and that "practice makes progress". The teachers give the children hand outs to help them memorize their dances and also allows parents to video the dances occasionally for home practice. Even the preschoolers stand in a line and know their dances. It's wonderful! I also notice that the dances are appropriate for what the children can handle according to their age and level. This helps them successfully learn their dances and feel successful! It's definitely a unique program. My child is so excited about the Spring Recital! I also feel confident about the staff and instruction because the school has been well known in the community for 45 years and have many successful graduates who perform on Broadway!

For more than a decade, my family has been loyal patrons of Dance World Academy and our experience there has only gotten better with each passing year. This is all thanks to the phenomenal teachers who truly bring the best out of our child, and the kind and helpful staff who go above and beyond to make every visit enjoyable. What's more, our child is always elated when she leaves the studio, having learned something new and leaving with a big smile on her face. DWA is a dance studio that caters to all ages, from toddlers to high schoolers, and it is definitely worth a try.The studio space itself is great, with a clean, bright, and comfortable environment that is perfect for learning and practicing. And the best part? It's also affordable, with the option to try a class before committing to a series. All in all, this studio comes highly recommended for anyone looking for a positive and supportive environment to explore their creative passions.

I don’t know where to even begin of how upset I am with Ms.Debbie and the whole Dance world Academy school. I will begin by saying they definitely make you feel very out of place and uncomfortable. My daughter has been attending for about 3 months now and we are very respectful and patient disregarding a few upsetting moments I’ve had but today was the last straw for me. At the end of class students were given a lollipop and my daughter received a broken one which she was upset about, I told her we can get some more at home but she insisted on switching it. So we approached ms.debbie and asked politely to switch and she spoke under her breath and huffed, she then came back with one and said “this is all I have you want it” to my 4 year old daughter and she said okay. I said thank you and walked away and she proceeds to 2 other teachers or whoever they were and say “ I swear they break them on purpose just to get a new one” and walked away in a nasty tone. I was so upset when I heard that so I walked back and told them 2 women that was very disrespectful and upsetting to hear over a lollipop and to tell her I’m very upset and that I heard everything she said. They ignored me and turned there face instead of trying to help which then raged me. I walked to the front office and spoke to the 2 front desk ladies who didn’t care for what I had to say and just wanted to give me more lollipops which I told them it’s not about that I don’t want anything for my daughter if this is how were treated and they said ok. I told them to pass a message along to ms. Debbie about how upset I am but nobody seemed to care. I don’t know how this is a dance school for children. As other reviews said they mistreat the parents and make you feel uncomfortable. I don’t know how they’re trusted to help kids use the bathroom if a parent steps out which is why I never did because I would see the snarky comments and rude faces they would make towards the children. Do better dance world academy especially for being around this long, I think it’s time for retirement if you can’t handle toddlers

Our daughter has thrived at DWA where the high-quality dance classes have had a profound impact on her development. She has gained confidence, discipline, poise, and grace, and her technique has improved greatly. The studio's commitment to fostering a growth mindset in students is truly inspiring and has sparked a passion for dance in our daughter. The staff is incredible and we are grateful for all they do. Finding a top-notch dance studio in the area where kids can learn proper techniques while having a blast is a challenge, but we are glad to have found one at Dance World Academy!
