I canceled membership in Oct 2023. Come to find out they only froze my account and was charged an annual fee of 55$ for services I don't use or need. The customer service by Unique was horrible as she lied to corporate and said I was aware of the freeze versus canceled membership No refund was issued. Disgusting gym as well

Left this place a while back. Too crowded and not well maintained. Started getting group text from LA fitness employees personal phones with advertisement to come back. Not happy they exposed my mobile number to 10 other former members without my consent. FCC regulations state that Businesses are not allowed to advertise using SMS or MMS without a certified SMS campaign. Heavy fines per text when they get caught.

So I work for the company as a trainer, I have a right to make a comment about Clifton I went to work out yesterday 03/14/24 and check if they fixed machines and maybe get a workout in. It’s very frustrating also disappointing that every pin for the machines were gone machines were broken , I wasn’t able to workout now I see why I stopped working out at la fitness , as an employee I can imagine how the members feel as well. If you want members please provide what’s needed at la fitness good working equipments if you don’t what’s going to happen is you will lose members and businesses if these issues aren’t fixed.again to all the members STOP STEALING THE PINS FROM MACHINES! Stop BANGING MACHINES MAKING THEM BREAK DUE TO THE LACK OF GYM ETHICS ,if YOU CANNOT LOWER THE WEIGHT NICELY IT MEANS YOU are EGO LIFTING!Members there’s no need to steal from a gym. I have seen many women in the bathroom stealing dumbbells also plates that are 5-10lbs putting them in their bags. Be mindful

I wish there was a scheme to leave a minus star rating.Where do I even begin with. This is going to be a long rant. The management is just incompetent to manage a club of this size. They have a huge showcase of equipment and cardio machines to showcase, but sadly most of them are broken and are under maintenance for over a year. There are about 8-10 stair masters and only 1or 2 of them actually work. It’s a treasure hunt to find a pin for any pulley based equipment. Feels like an Easter egg hunt. Patrons end up bringing screws, bolts and screwdrivers to engage the weights in order to operate the equipment.Incline benches are broken for over 6 months. Smith machines wobble and scrape through the metal providing an awful experience.Dumbbells are missing and are available in odd numbers. Never will you ever find a pair of dumbbells racked up or in place.Ab machines are broken to the point that they usually jerk when being used and can potentially cause injury.Preacher curl devices are broken where the seats just drop abruptly and cause immense shock to the spine of the user.I can go on with my rant and it will end up being an essay. I am tired and frustrated of writing emails and complaining to the staff.

This gym has gone so far downhill. no pins in any of the machines and nobody seems to care. Had to bring my own screwdriver. Also all of the machines are always broken, take forever to get fixed.

LA fitness at the Clifton location is terrible. All of the machines are broken and missing pins so you can’t even work out properly. Will be taking my business elsewhere.

The worst gym I have ever known. The staff is rude and does not respect the clients, especially the head of the trainer program who almost caused a fight over some weights.I lost my keys car in the bathroom and when I asked at the front desk if anyone had found them, the guy spoke to me with a very bad attitude and I had to insist him several times to check the lost and found box. I was only able to use the pool once because it was very dirty. The only good thing is the cleaning guy who is friendly and polite.Membership Cancelled. ????

i’ve been a member since 2020 and this gym has gone downhill. weights are scattered all over the gym, machines are broken for months before getting repaired, they have no pins to use the machines, it’s a mess. creeps stalk the gym and bother women and management does nothing about it (even when it’s their own staff!!). it’s a circus ran by clowns here!!

Not a single machine has a pin for the weights and they have a sign saying they will on Friday at the end of the week.. what am I paying 60 monthly + 200 fees every year for. Go to dumbells nothing under 45 lbs is free because that’s the only thing gym attendees can use. Skip this gym

Clean location with plenty of weights and equipment. Went in to sign up and was assisted with Jay and was amazed. LA Fitness has changed a lot with better customer service now.

First I'll say that the employees and trainers that work here are nice and helpful. Unfortunately, their hands are tied as they work for a completely negligent company. I have been complaining about the lack of pins for weight machines for over a month (as I'm sure others have), and they didn't order more until there were maybe 5 left in the whole facility. I was told they cannot go and buy something else to use temporarily because Corporate requires that they use the original machines pins, which will take 10-14 business days to arrive. UNACCEPTABLE. This keeps people from using HALF the equipment available.I tried to quit recently but was told I couldn't because they do not currently have a manager, and only a manager can cancel someone's plan (between the hours of 9-5, Mon-Fri). Not only are pins missing, but since 5 MONTHS AGO when I joined, several machines have been down and more have broken since, with none of them being fixed. The basketball court has been down since as well. Finally took a swim in the pool yesterday - there is rusty equipment and doors in walking areas. The hot tub/jacuzzi was not hot at all. Anytime you complain to employees about something missing, or being broken, the employees blame it on bad customers, but it is the duty of the company to ensure that equipment is working right, and to find a way to prevent damages/ theft. Hire employees to keep watch or something. Put RFID chips in the pins. Who knows - just figure it out! Because this is not the cheapest gym and it's way worse than the cheaper gym as far as quality goes. Who knows - probably even health risks here.I don't like leaving negative reviews, but this company needs to be reported to the BBB - people deserve refunds, and I absolutely want to switch gyms as soon as I can. Thankfully a new law is being enacted so I can do this online.

Today is the day to give them a star because we have been suffering for weeks from not having iron, something so simple in the machines, and I went today to do my routines and I found that no machine has it. Those of us who come here know what it feels like to pay. good money for supposedly efficiency and that is what we are not having administration do something or next month I will be somewhere else like many of me
