They have terrible service. No weekend support and management does not care about customer service. It is a constant problem trying to get service or repairs schedule. The should go out of business and allow a reliable firm to come into the Pittstown NJ area to provide service to the customers here. They are horrible. No excuses. The government should shut the down.

How is this company still even running. They're hogging all the internet speeds just to operate their own OS.

Only giving a one so I can leave a review on how terrible the customer service is. I have 2 elderly people who has no phone currently bc there is no emergency customer service number and am only able to reach someone m-f 9 to 5. Absolutely ridiculous and will be looking into other phone companies that are able to assist in emergencies such as this one on a weekend.

If '0' stars were an option, i'd choose it. Their internet is beyond horrible so I canceled our service switched to another carrier. However I did keep CL for our landline only. But now I am receiving really high bills online, but am unable to view thee detailed bills because their site doesn't recognize our username or password, but we can't change it without having one of those to sign in. Live Chat isn't working and I spent over an hour trying to find a phone number to call and then waiting on hold.

We have a business that has been without telephone service since Ida - over 20 days zero phone connection! Customer service had been lousy! There must be some claim to file for this!

Agree with all who are condemning what CenturyLink refers to as 'customer service.' The service in our neighborhood has been abysmal with frequent outages and very spotty repair. In fact, they laid out an exposed orange cable connecting two front-lawn access pylons that runs through the gutter across three homes. It's been there for over a year! It's been severed by snow plows taking out local and internet service to homes reliant on the service for work-at-home. They actually strung this cable up into our trees to protect it from the plows??!! Our property looks like hell. Their techs told us that they don't want to invest in doing a proper underground repair. THEY JUST DON"T CARE BECAUSE THIS IS LANDLINE

I have had this internet and landline provider for as long as I can remember due to the fact that they were the only providers that was available for service in my area. Recently my internet blew out due to thunderstorms, so I felt that it was time to consider switching internet providers. CenturyLink requires a very specific modem that you HAVE to buy from them due to the type of modem, and they are at least $150. I ended up switching to Xfinity because I have had a more positive experience with them at my other house, and I was able to purchase my own modem for $100. I needed to cancel my internet service with CenturyLink so I did their online chat support, and they provided me with a number to cancel. After waiting over 2 hours to be helped, the gentleman in the cancellation department named Brandon was very rude. He kept interrupting me, and even said that due to the fact that I had less than 3 Mbps with my service, he was unable to help me. He could only help me if I had 6 Mbps or more. This was really absurd, and his apology for the inconvenience was very sarcastic. I wouldn't recommend this company's service.

How is it possible that it’s the year 2021 and this is the best internet service available in my area? It’s been out for 4 days. And when it does “work” only one phone can use at a time. Pathetic service.

If I could give century link a MINUS number I would. You cannot reach by phone. I understand delays due to Covid but more than an hour wait and then have call drop many times is not acceptable. They should have option for a call back with that long waiting. No service for over week and half now for telephone and internet and still no satisfaction. Slow slow slow internet. Get 1 mb/sec when pay for 10 and sometime it is no service!! Awful customer service since cannot resolve problems . Just spent two hours on chat since could not get through on phone. Still not satisfied and no tech to come out for another two days. Last time requested tech stayed Home and waited all day only to have a no show. Called to find out they cancelled the tech call due to major outage but never contacted me to let me know. Poor poor poor service all around
