No one picks up the phone at the Glen Gardner / Clinton NJ location. You’re left on hold for several minutes then disconnected. Despite having an appointment to pick up a car my insurance company set up for me, the car was not ready when I arrived. I had to wait 20 minutes for a returning customer to arrive and 10 minutes for someone to clean the car. It was empty with the fuel light on. So I returned it with the same amount of fuel. I tried to call ahead for the return and again, waited on hold for 12 minutes then disconnected. I never had this experience with any other rental company like National, Hertz etc. Irony is that the message you hear while waiting on hold is how Enterprise values customer service.

I had few expectations about renting a car because of the problematic reputation of car rental agencies. However, this Enterprise office was a pleasure to deal with. The transaction was seemless. I'm terrible with names unfortunately, nonetheless, the young man at the counter was efficient and the young lady that drove me back to Mavis so I could pick up my car was awesome. Thanks for a hassle-free experience.

My review is entirely related to the drop off process. What frustrates me the most about this location is that there is no after hours drop off. Additionally when you come during business hours to return a vehicle you still have to wait and go through the return process with them. This is the most antiquated process for a rental agency. I am truly surprised that they do this. I am a 20 plus car rental per year and this is the only location I have seen this done. What’s worse is if you drop off in the morning they have virtually no staff so you end up waiting 25 minutes to do a stupid walk around. I told them I never have had to do this at another enterprise agency.

A heads up about the Clinton Enterprise car rental. The assistant manager neglected to explain a $22.26 charge for a discounted gas service. I accepted the service but did not end up using it. I would not have accepted the service if I knew about the fee beforehand. Beware of hidden fees, seems to be too common with businesses and ticket sales

Unfortunately I have give 2 starts only. This is mainly about the Clinton,NJ and Washington,NJ offices representing the company and the name. I never have this issues with any of the other offices I have rented cars with throughout the years. I have been renting a car on this office every week since March 2022 thru the Washington office until January 2023. I rent with weeks or months in advance to make sure I have a car reserved. The first months the service was great. A driver will pick me up from my house to the office when I requested it which it was no more than 5 out of the 43 times I rented a car this past year. However, after couple of months the office personnel will ask me to go to the Clinton office to pick up the car which at the beggining I was fine eventhought it is 20 additional minutes for me to drive with my husband for him to drop me off. These last 6 months it has been very frustrating. Car reserved No available, having only an electric car available once and I will find out when I go to pick it up without any other options, giving me hard time to pick up at Washington office if I will be 5m late to the appointment; however, everytime I get there earlier they have taken up to 1hr to arrive with a car from the other office meaning no car ready eventhought requested long time in advance. Today just happened again first rental for 2023 and when I got to the Washington office I had to call them since noone was there and wait 30m for them to get a car , the car wasn't the car I reserved. I reserve SUVs during winter time and the only option they gave me when I arrive to pick up was a sedan or another sedan That's it. Take it or leave it. In addition of the 30m wait. My luck is that this is the closest office for me and i have to travel consistently for work. The office employees, managers, supervisors continue complaining being short staff, not enough cars and Enterprise overbooking the office; practically they have made it known that Enterprise is aware of the issue and therefore customer service is almost non-existant.

I had a car accident and had to rent a car. I chose Enterprise car rental in Clinton, NJ. My insurance company also recommended Enterprise. The staff in Clinton were very helpful and knowledgeable. Having just had an accident, it was a very stressful time. They were so understanding. I highly recommend the Clinton office of Enterprise Car Rental.

Chris This group, at this location, is obsessed with only one thing, their money. What was once a service company is now a DISservice company. They will nitpick and nickel and dime every contract to squeeze out the most money they can get, for the LEAST service. Pitiful.

So rare and refreshing to receive outstanding customer service! Sam and her team are not only welcoming and responsive but they are super efficient, knowledgeable and worked quickly to get a long line of customers through the paperwork process and into a clean and well maintained rental car. I don’t wish it on anyone to have an accident that leaves them without the use of their vehicle, but for whatever reason you need to rent one, Enterprise in Clinton is where you want to go. Thanks for making an unfortunate situation such a great experience!

We were scheduled to have a rental through Liberty Mutual and received an online confirmation that the car was going to goto the auto body shop to pick up my wife and toddler. We tried for a week to reach the Enterprise office to confirm the details but no one picks up. When finally reaching the office line I was put on an extended hold by Sam and was then told they don’t have any cars in stock. Then the manager Jerombi was extremely rude and hung up when I asked why they couldn’t offer another car they had in stock or was coming in. Jerombi was extremely rude and unprofessional and refused to even speak or give more details. I’ve rented many cars over 15 years and this ranks as one of the most unprofessional experiences to date.

Sadly, the normal Enterprise we deal with in Washington has a closed sign on the door. The sign directed us to the High Bridge branch. They are absolutely AWFUL. Avoid if you can. Trying to rent a car due to accident and got the runaround with an attitude as well. Went down yesterday after told a car was ready. It was not ready, nor was it even at their location. In addition, Jerombi Slater does not belong in customer service. When I declined a ride by one of their agents, she was offended and "threatened" me with not renting us the vehicle. I simply explained we don't drive with strangers that are non-professional drivers. She is one nasty person.

Last month I received excellent customer service. Everyone was nice and helpful. Called today to arrange another rental and the woman that answered the phone was by far the most unprofessional condescending person I have dealt with. She basically called me a liar without actually calling me one. It's unfortunate because just a week ago everyone was great. Not sure what her problem is, but she probably shouldn't be answering phones. Maybe washing cars? I don't know, but definitely not in a customer facing position.
