BoA Closter on Vervalen St. Arguably the rudest and most insulting BoA Branch I've ever worked with. Branch Manager insulting and needs to go sensitivity training. Treated like an absolute imbecile and as if the Branch was doing me the favor holding my business deposit. (For the record, I hold a BA and an MBA from Top Tier US Business Schools, and serve as the head of finance for a Multi-Million$ Publicly traded organization supported by a staff of Finance professionals, CPA's and Lawyers) While my relationship with BoA and Merrill is too strong to sever, I will certainly never walk into this branch ever again... ~DG

Our account was compromised so we had to go to a branch and speak with a representative in person. Sameh made our experience smooth and painless. He was extremely helpful and was not trying to sell us on anything. He took his time in explaining things and we never felt rushed. Thank you for your professionalism Sameh you are amazing!

The worst!!!! If I could give this place zero or negative stars, I really would. Demarest, Norwood and Dumont branches are all gone so..........have no choice but to go here. Drive up has closed. Although the location itself is good, the service and attention you get here are.........completely nonexistent. Terribly understaffed, awful hours, always (and I mean always) a wait. A simple basic one-check, no cash involved deposit can take 15 minutes. I've walked out after waiting on line at least three or four times now to go make the deposit at the ATM (which I'm not crazy about doing.) NEVER greeted, very often ignored. Employees act as if they're doing you a favor. Excuse me??? Banks are a dime a dozen; show some gratitude to those of us who keep you in business!!!

Today I went into BofA in Closter around noon to have help with closing an account due to a death in the family. The line was to the door so I waited for a moment looking for someone free on the floor. There were two employees having a personal conversation about promotions, other employees and how his wife was having a baby. I walked up and gently said excuse me as I don't like interrupting others. The man was immediately rude, cold, dismissive. Told me it would be a half hour in the least and someone was ahead of me, to wait etc. He kept typing on his Ipad and didn't make eye contact at all. The woman stood there silent. Zero customer service, zero compassion, zero professionalism. I went to another BofA afterwards for help where there were no personal conversations, I was immediately greeted and I was given condolences. Wow, night and day. I highly suggest the Closter location hires actual professionals who understand what customer service means. If you don't like to help others, don't work in the field. Imagine having a loved one die and then getting treated this way while you're trying to handle the aftermath. The customers on line also noticed the lack of care. What a gross experience. No wonder the reviews are SO terrible. And FYI, my inheritance is large. But I will NOT be opening an account with BofA.

Always a line. Always only 1 teller. No drive up. Norwood location permanently closed, otherwise i would go there. I forgot my current mortgage coupon. I paid same amount as last month cuz i had that receipt in the car. I asked did my amount go up this month cuz i recalled getting a letter stating there was some sort of escrow shortage..... Perhaps i didnt explain myself well enough..".what is the difference in the payment from what i just paid so that i can write a second check right now to cover it? ".. Teller could only tell me the "new monthly amount"....... not how much i was short using a previous coupon amount....

Great branch. The manager is incredibly solicitous and the entire staff goes out of its way to be helpful. Feels like a real community bank.

This bank overall is horrendous. This branch, in particular, places new business over servicing existing clients... Literally to the point where 2 people were sitting at the desks not helping anyone and the manager greeted me and told me to wait while she helped another employee with a customer. I called the 800 # and reached a representative before she returned (15 minutes). This bank needs to reevaluate its entire model bc it charges fees as much as it can and offers NO customer service. waste of payroll.
