Disappointing Experience with Management
Unfortunately, my recent experience was overshadowed by the poor attitude of someone who identified themselves as the manager. Their lack of professionalism was immediately apparent—no sense of urgency, no courtesy, and an overall dismissive tone. Rather than resolving the issue at hand, they seemed more interested in deflecting responsibility and rushing the conversation. When concerns were calmly raised, they responded with rudeness and indifference, which only made the situation worse. It’s disappointing when someone in a leadership position sets such a negative tone for the customer experience. Businesses thrive on service, and this kind of interaction reflects poorly on the establishment as a whole. I hope this feedback encourages a serious evaluation of staff training and accountability. A customer’s time and concerns should be met with respect—not frustration and disregard.

Target is excellent-it meets or exceeds expectations

This target should be called as an “express target”. they literally have nothing in stock. Whatever you try to get is either out of stock or not sold in that store.

I like it here. Has just what I need without being a huge warehouse. BUT! Please get teens to stop loitering around the outside of this store. They pile their bikes up so you can’t walk past and congregate in big groups. Makes me not want to come in when it’s like that. They’re disrespectful too. Had my 5 year old with me and they wouldn’t move out of the way at all. It’s off putting, seriously.

the worker here was an elder female helping us in the self checkout she was rude and disrespectful towards us. She yelled at us for simply paying, i was in a group of 4people so of course it would take up some room and after all that she decided to body shame us calling us big. If there was an option to rate zero stars i would have done it instantly that worker made my bigger friend cry.

I called to check on the availability of a product. I started my calls at 10:25 a.m. After not having anyone pick up on general information dept, electronics dept, and grocery dept. lines after 10 minutes of calling, I gave up! Oh wait, someone did pick up on one of the calls after the phone rang for almost 2 minutes, then hung up! Sorry customer service. Everyone working there waiting for the other person to answer the calls! Cluster, New Jersey Target! 2 thumbs down!

Smaller than usual Target, meaning the stock is naturally less - and that is surely the case here.
This Target is a little more 'upscale' than usual Targets, but it doesn't mean as much as they try to make it appear. It looks like another business in some ways.
Lines weren't bad and I was able to go right up to the self checkouts without any issue.
I had zero interaction with employees - which is the norm in Targets in general - but no complaints. I didn't get that 'unwelcome' vibe that Target employees usually give off, so I guess that's a good thing.
Parking lot is busy, but spacious enough. It could've been designed a little better, but it's not Target's fault as it occupies the land with several other businesses.
Upscale doesn't always mean better and in this case, it certainly doesn't. Again, this is a smaller Target location - so if you're familiar enough with Target and what they carry, you might not find what you're looking for here. It's an okay location, but nothing more and one I'd probably never return to unless I'd have no other choice.

Went here to buy something and I got treated like garbage by a cashier at customer service when I went to pay and they were extremely rude to me and the fact that all the self checkouts were closed is unacceptable

Management doesn't hire enough staff and if you ever need any help there is just no one around. There are not enough people there to keep on top making sure the food is fresh. This was the third time I purchased something MONTHS passed the sell by date ON MEAT products.

I cannot thank the Closter target staff enough for their amazing help during the busiest time of the year. I lost my phone today during checkout and as soon as I approached Courtney with my issue she was immediately on top of it!! Within a few minutes my phone was back in my possession thanks to everybody who helped. Thank you guys so much!
