I met Tracy, the young woman at the front desk who was most pleasant and very resourceful on teaching me about the type of tire I should purchase. I really appreciated her kindness. When the time came for my car to be serviced, I met Imria. He informed me that I needed to change all the tires on my car since it was all-wheel drive. Though I was reluctant, and it was my first time ever getting this done, he took the time to explain why it was important for me to make this change and why it was also a safer option. “So, after contacting me, the manager/owner of this particlar location explained what had happened to my 'non- existent ' tires. Due to a miscommunication between their online ordering/ads & local franchises the tires were never available & b/c it was a Holiday weekend, the online order was never processed & I was never informed that the tire order could not be fulfilled. I was offered a free oil change or front end alignment which I think is pretty nice & considerate of them since it wasn't the Mavis in Closter's fault that they couldn't procure the tires from their supplier. I was very pleased that they reached out to me personally to resolve my issues. I will go back to them in the near future for my automotive needs since they made a strong effort to do the right thing by their customers.
I ordered tires for my truck thru Mavis.com online b/c they were not in stock at the Closter location. Got an email confirming my size tires would be shipped to the Closter store in 3 days, so I made an appt. to have tires installed. Much to my surprise & disappointment, not only did they not have the tires but I was told they could not get the tires(they were nowhere in the system & could no longer get them from the vendor). SO, I wasted a half day of my time for absolutely nothing whereas a simple text/email or call would have sufficed. I am now going to PEP Boys who have everything I need. Thanks for nothing Mavis of Closter.......”
