My daughter has been taking lessons for 4 years. We could not be happier with our experience at this music school. Highly recommend it!

CSM has been a wonderful intro to music for our daughter. Such a dynamic group of teachers. We see all ages of singers / players coming in and out of the space, we love the energy! The lessons are very student-focused and this has kept her excited to come back. We couldnt be happier with her teacher, John. For reference, she has worked on ukulele, piano and has since settled on a love of drums.

Collingswood Sound has been a wonderful place for my daughter to learn and grow with her music. Her main focus is vocal lessons (although she also did a bit of guitar) and the level of commitment of the entire staff to work around her busy school schedule has been wonderful. Chelsea is absolutely amazing and is always there to help encourage my daughter to push to the next level and shows her the techniques to achieve those goals. If there is an audition at school, or an upcoming event where she wants to perform a song, Chelsea goes above and beyond to focus the lessons to get the most from my daughter's voice and the confidence she needs to succeed.

I’ve loved working with them since 2020. I’m now a college student pursuing a BFA in Acting with musical theater. Sienna has been wonderful! I’ve grown so much as a vocalist.

I've been a student here for a year or so. They have been enjoying great success, and for good reason. They're people who live for music and are great at teaching it. I can now say that I've attempted Don't Stop Believing in C in front of a crowd of people. I'm not sure I'd ever want to do that again, but it was a great exercise! I challenge you to find another school that would do this. I'll wait!

Highly recommend! Staff is friendly and helpful. Rates are very reasonable. Every teacher greets each student with a warm smile. My son takes voice lessons with Sabrina and honestly 5 stars isn’t enough to express how wonderful she is!! We love her. She has helped my son’s technique, audition prep and confidence so much. Please consider supporting this incredible small business.

I took guitar lessons for 2 years at Collingswood Sound. My instructor was Sean and he is an incredible teacher. He's so patient, he meets you where you're at in your skillset and challenged me to explore music theory and other techniques that were outside of my comfort zone. My lessons were tailored to what I was interested in. Sienna was also wonderful to work with along the way. Although I didn't partake in this, they do a great job of creating lots of opportunities for their student to perform and engage in the community. I highly recommend supporting this local business of talented individuals who are passionate about what they do and add so much to the community!

Great teachers, they are very good at differentiating instruction and breaking the lesson up for students who have a harder time focusing.

At 50 years old, I have decided to learn how to play drums. My instructor John is well versed in the musical styles I am interested in (bossa nova, bachata, hip hop, etc) and makes learning quite enjoyable. The lessons are reasonable and location is perfect with adequate parking. I am having a great time with my new hobby - if you are on the fence about CS, give it a try... You won't be disappointed.

We love Collingswood Sound! Our daughter has taken piano with Ms. Sienna for a few years now. Ms. Sienna been so amazing and patient with her as she learns and she always makes it fun. My daughter has grown a lot as a piano player and is always excited for her lessons. My daughter also took group classes with other teachers that she really enjoyed and even through the pandemic, they managed to make everything fun, going above and beyond to keep things as normal as possible for the students. They put on virtual open mic nights streaming performances of the kids which made it special while we couldn't have recitals and they've kept them up at other times in the year too. We always look forward to them! I really cannot say enough positive words about this school. The teachers are wonderful with parents as well as the students, always keeping excellent contact and making sure to update us about what's going on. We're very happy this was the music school we chose for our daughter to start her lessons.

Had a great experience taking guitar lessons from Sean! I learned a little bit about music theory and the fundamentals of guitar while also learning actual songs that I picked out along with recommendations. They do a good job with all ages and experience levels so whether you are trying to become a performer, or play casually, this is the place to go!

When I started taking mandolin lessons with Sean I didn't even know the basics of music. Sean worked with my goals and helped me build up not just a repertoire of songs but an understanding of how music works. The pacing of the lessons is great; fast enough for me to see progress from week to week but without ever feeling rushed. Sean's explanations of music theory would be paired with songs or opportunities to improvise, so it was always clear how things fit together. He's a skilled musician and a really great teacher!

My 8 year old daughter had been taking guitar lessons for a few months now and looks forward to her lessons each week. She says it’s her favorite day of the week. At first we were hesitant as we thought she may be to young to really focus and practice (she started at 7) but she has shown so much interest, dedication and improvement that we have been so impressed. Sean has been so great with teaching her techniques and giving her notes and cords to practice between lessons, she loves it and we have noticed such and impressive improvement from her first day. Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend Sienna Averett and Collingswood Sound Music Lessons enough. She has been teaching our 6 year old daughter for several months now, and her teaching methods, work ethic and rapport with children is simply beyond reproach. Above and beyond 5 stars on all levels...
