“Went to my local bank in Linden and had a terrible experience with the branch manager. Went to deposit an Insurance check under my name and my mothers estate account which I am the administrator mind you. But the check is written with 2 names on it. No (and) or (or) was between our names on the check my insurance company did that purposely so I would be able to cash the check. Mind you my name is 1st on the check. She (branch manager) kept claiming the check had to go into the estate account I was trying to tell her that it does not because I deposited a previous insurance check just a couple of weeks prior at the same location with her supervisor that made calls and got clarity on this matter. She could not explain why her supervisor accepted my check and that she would not accept my check. I was stumped. But she was a little to impulsive and really not thinking through the situation. So I decided to go to cranford chase bank where my experience was a complete 360. Not sure if she was a branch manager or supervisor but her name was fabianne and she was amazing. Understood the situation immediately. She already was 90% percent sure I could deposit the check. She made a phone call to be a 100% sure and guess what..check was accepted and deposited. Once fabianne scanned the check she stated that my name populated to show I was allowed to deposit the check which the branch manager at linden didn't even bother to scan the check. That's not even the cherry on the cake. That same branch manager at linden chase calls me later that day to say she made some calls and she doubles down on the claim that the check had to go into an estate account which I already knew was incorrect. I explained to her that cranford bank already took care of me and accepted my check and that fabianne would be sending her an email explaining why my insurance checks are allowed to be deposited. Thank you a million fabianne. You went above and beyond to accomodate this chase customer that's been with chase over 20 years. I was definitely contemplating leaving chase until fabianne stepped in. Chase should have you train all their branch managers on standard operating banking procedures.”
