“This was my first time ever having my laundry professional laundered and I'm NOT disappointed at all. I called many places and even though all the places that I called quoted the same price per pound, it was the friendliness and the convenience of University that made me want to try them. Abdul from our first conversation was really nice and patiently answered all my questions. When I dropped off my laundry Friday afternoon I was met by Terresa, who greated me with a warm welcome and was super professional. The next day when we picked up or laundry I was relieved that everything they promised they delivered. They followed my requests and if I'm being honest I don't think I could of done a better job myself. My clothes, were perfectly sorted, folded and stacked and smelt so good. Thank you University for doing such a wonderful job. You are true professionals and the most accommadating and I think the best in town! I highly recommend!”
“First time customer at Y & C, and I will definitely be back! I brought my daughter's wedding dress and veil in for cleaning and preservation, and I was thrilled with the results. They were meticulous in the cleaning process, going over the set-in stains again and again. They brought me in for a final look at the gown before preserving it, and I couldn't believe the transformation-like new! Choosing a cleaner to take care of such a special piece was hard, but I am so glad I picked Y & C. Jenny finished the dress ahead of schedule and followed up with me a few times. I can tell they take pride in their work and are good at what they do. I'm glad I had the opportunity to use their services.”
“I had a wonderful experience with Society Cleaners this week. I had a dress that needed to be hemmed by the next day. I called to see if they could do it and they answered promptly and assured me that'd be no problem. I came with the dress and shoes and I was able to change into the dress and get it pinned immediately. The tailor did a wonderful job and the dress was beautifully steamed or ironed at no additional charge. Everyone I talked to was super friendly and accommodating. I won't think twice about using Society Cleaners the next time I need something cleaned or tailored!”

“In the last year they have saved 3 of my sport jackets that I would have thrown away. They had sweat stains all over them from dancing. One is silver gray and the other two are cream colored. I was so surprised that they looked so perfect that I offered to pay the owner Peter more money for the extra work it took to clean them, but he insisted on not charging me anymore money. He is a very nice man, thank you!”

“I brought in maybe 12 items that had been sitting around my house. Jackets, pants, sweaters. When I dropped them, a customer was being abusive to the woman at the counter about an off premises shoe repair that wasn't back yet. She remained calm and patient and explained when the shoes would be back. (I wouldn't have been so kind!) When I picked up my items, EVERY ITEM was perfectly dry cleaned, all spots removed, and way better than I had hoped for with the extreme discounts given. The owner tries very hard to please, and the staff is working hard to provide great service at hugely discounted prices. Hey people, be grateful!”
“The wash and fold is run by kind people who do a good job of washing and folding at a reasonable price, and they said they were willing to use my special unscented laundry soap I'm not allergic to. I've used the service twice now, the first time my sheets came out unscented but my other load smelled like there had been scented stuff left in the machine. Not having my own washer and dryer, I've experienced this often doing laundry on my own (I bring a roll of paper towels when I do my own laundry and clean out the dispenser area to get as much scent as I can out, but sometimes it's impossible to get it all) and it was problematic for my allergies, but understandable, it happens. It was clear, though, that time they had actually used my laundry soap (I can feel the difference), and I was grateful for the service.This week I went back to try the wash and fold, I'd asked if they could make sure the machine was clean so it was really unscented. I'm dealing with an autoimmune flare, and really need to be careful. She showed me how clean the machines are (and they are, definitely better than most!) but that they couldn't guarantee anything. I explained I didn't need a guarantee, just that I'd appreciate it if they'd really try because I'm allergic. She told me I shouldn't be using public machines, and she's not wrong, but I don't have a washer and dryer where I live and really have no alternative.I picked up my items (all my pajamas, all my washcloths, favorite pillowcases, and all my favorite clothes), and was utterly dismayed that the laundry came out smelling like their regular wash and fold soap. The stains didn't come out of my jumpsuit either (my soap gets stains out REALLY well) and now that it's been in the dryer the stain is set. Everything has that "fresh laundry" scent, which I'm allergic to. I don't have the energy or the money to rewash everything in my Defunkify 3-4 times to get the scent out, and that's hard.It IS a great laundromat for doing it yourself, and a great wash and fold service if you like their scented laundry soap. I definitely do not recommend it, though, if you have allergies to their soap. It IS incredibly difficult to find a service that'll even agree to use your own soap, and it was kind they offered to. I don't think they did this time, though, and it's really caused a problem for me.I'm giving them 5 stars anyway because it's otherwise a great laundromat. They even have a bathroom!”

“Standard laundromat, don't listen to the bad reviews. This is like any NYC laundry, people around here must just not ever do laundry out of their house. Clean, fast, not crowded, staff IS helpful, but don't expect them to hold your hand. Quarter operated, bring bills.”
