Stopped in yesterday for a hair cut. Was taken right away due to the online check in. The young woman who cut my hair had done so before. Without asking me or telling me what she was going to do - she sprayed some very heavy floral scent on my hair in addition to the water that most stylists use. Not ony that she kept hitting my ear with the comb whiile she was cutting. Whatever that floral scented spray was it glued down my hair and made me ill. Even after a shower and shampoo at home this morning my hair still stinks. Perhaps the manager should be aware of what this particular stylist is doing.

I will not recommend anyone to go here for hair cut.
This center Staff does not know how to cut hair and have very high attitude.
And they will get irritated if you use great clip coupons.
They have messed up hairs of all of my families members.

This haircut service was terrible. Barber did not know what a taper was, which is atrocious, and was trying to teach me what guard numbers were when I was asking for my haircut. Extremely overpriced, and I wasn’t even allowed to apply my coupon.

Went here for the first time a week or so ago, and I have mixed feelings about my experience. The location was clean, bright, well-lit, and quite inviting. The staff people I encountered were friendly and upbeat. The prices were reasonable. I wound up with a fade-style haircut that was, to be honest, well done. The problem was that I didn’t want a fade. I didn’t ask for a fade. When asked how I did my hair, I didn’t describe a fade. And I would have thought that anyone (especially a professional) should have been able to look at my hair and realize that I don’t wear a fade. It felt like the stylist had a preconceived notion of how my hair should be, and just did that, no matter what I said. So I wound up with a cut I’m not fond of. I miss the days when a barber would cut your hair with a pair of scissors, instead of a stylist attacking your head with an electric shaver.

I got a haircut today at this place, and it was a really bad experience. The staff was super rude to me. I was curious about the reviews, so I checked them out when I got home, and wow, they’re rated really poorly by a lot of people. I totally agree that it’s important to read reviews and choose wisely. Thanks for opening my eyes to this! Honestly, it was the worst experience ever. 👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿

Haircutter was upset that a coupon brought us to the salon. She made comments that there was food in my hair,,wow, and she made every effort to be as rude as she could. This was our first visit to Denville salon and it was no different than the riverdale ( visited twice and never going there) salon . Basically they get get upset at you bringing in a coupon. Despite tipping 35%.
This was not case in west coast where we have been a customer for few years. Kudos to Danielle for the balancing act and a pleasant experience. If you visit this salon pls insist for her as the hairstylist.

I would give minus 5 stars to Great Clips in Denville if that would be the option. One of the most dirtiest unprofessional place to check in. Staff is very nasty and zero customer service. Do not lure by online Scam of Great clips coupon. They will say yes they take the coupon and once you are done they will charge full price and will come up with a thousand excuses not to take your coupon. Never ever go back to this nasty ghetto hair salon .....

Walked into get an appointment hair cut today, and was shocked. It was my first time going in. I was asked if I had checked in, I said no sorry did not know I could do that. I gave my number and I asked “ before I check me in approximately how long is the wait?”She turned around and said, “you see I have all seats occupied and I have 1 person waiting. I cannot give you a time.” I said no problem, I’ll come tomorrow, I asked for a time because I have somewhere to be. The follow up response was then “why are you here for a haircut?”
Thats how you treat first time customers? I was baffled and walked out. Won’t be going back there ever!

My 12 yrs old daughter has damaged hair due to excessive chorine exposure during swimming. We went for her to get a really short haircut. The associate, after examining condition of her hair explained that it’s dead, damaged and unkept. I was on board until this point as it’s all true and it’s coming from a professional doing her job. But she kept going on and on about it during the entire haircut for 20 mins…my daughter actually cried once back in the car and she is demoralized about how her hair looks and her self. That was really uncalled for by any standards
