Today 12/14/2023 at approximately 1:25pm, during my visit to Sephora in Denville, I engaged in a bit of shopping and a return. Despite not receiving a greeting from the front store greeter, I overheard several holiday greetings/welcoming (i.e., “Happy Holidays, Welcome to Sephora”) while browsing. Surprisingly, not one associate offered or approached me for assistance. Thirdly, at the register, (a blonde cashier), after attending to the previous customer, left me waiting without acknowledgment. When she returned, she seemed reluctant to serve me, and there was no customary inquiry about assistance (“hi did anyone help or assist you today with your purchase?”)…whereas we could both hear her very polite coworker asking her customers this question. In my opinion, Sephora in Denville could benefit from a more diverse staff, as I felt somewhat unwelcome during this experience. Though they have one African American female staff member, she wasn't present during my visit, and I was the sole African American customer at the time. With only around 8-10 customers in the store, there's room for improvement.

Loved going to this location. Everyone was so polite and helpful. Wished they had more samples but service was amazing!

All of the employees at this Sephora were extremely helpful and kind. The customer service was the best that I have received at any Sephora!

Abby was great help today at Sephora. I couldn’t find the shade of my usual foundation that I use and she helped to color match me to an even better foundation. She also recommended a concealer by the name of Kosas. I appreciate her not being too pushy with sales. She listened to my needs and directed me to the best products. Thank you for your help today.

I would recommend knowing and researching items before you go to this store. The sales people will automatically steer towards more expensive products without considering your needs.

Meh. The greeter upon entering was rude. She basically rolled her eyes when I said I wanted help for a problem area. She was condescending when asking what specifically I needed. Then she pawned me off on another employee who was helpful. Then this same woman interrupted us about the employee's headset and how many of something she sold. Not professional at all. In addition - website said an item was in stock there and it wasn't.

Sarah was so helpful and knowledgeable about all of the products. It was so pleasant to work with her and she really went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with what I was buying. This is what keeps me coming back to Sephora as opposed to other stores.

I went there to exchange online purchase, and they did not have products this location. Which is fine so I got an store credit instead. But now they are saying you can not use store credit in online shop. But they don't have one of the product in store. In no other store. I could get an full refund, but since I was planning to spend the money Sephora I got store credit. Now I can not get a refund, I can not get my product and customer service does not help me. This is really inconvenient and does not make any sense. I am disappointed. I am giving 2 stars because personnel were kind in store.

Sarah was so helpful and knowledgeable about all of the products. It was so pleasant to work with her and she really went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with what I was buying. This is what keeps me coming back to Sephora as opposed to other stores.

Please let customers just shop and look around! I was there for about 8 minutes and 4 different employees asked me if I needed help. I get your trying to help/work off commission, but it's annoying. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Next time will just order online.

I'm so happy I stopped in here bc the sales associate, Michelle was so helpful and knowledgeable. Everything that she suggested and I bought is wonderful! She also gave me samples of a few products to try and I will definitely be back to purchase. Overall I just a really great customer service experience and really appreciated the help from the sales associate Michelle.
