I was referred here after my last practice stopped taking my insurance. From scheduling the appointment to being seen the experience was great. Everyone was very professional and friendly. Exam was great and the doctor took his time. Felt valued as a patient.

I always have a great experience when I come to Sterling Optical. A friend recommended Sterling to me a few years ago and now I bring my whole family. I have only ever had great customer service here so I’m not sure what some other reviews are talking about. Great atmosphere with a wonderful frame selection! Thank you Sterling!

The two front desk ladies were wonderful! They helped me pick out glasses and I am so happy with them. Very patient and friendly!

Horrible Customer Service. Was referred by my child ophthalmologist, went to the optical to get my child first glasses. The lady in the front did not have any interest in helping. Just told us where the kids glasses were. Helped 1 customer for a pick up of his glasses, went back to talk with someone in the back, came back to the front and continued to work on her computer. We were still waiting to be helped after choosing our glasses. After waiting for 15 mins no interaction we decided to leave.

Extremely disappointed in Sterling Optical in Deptford. I've been coming to this office for probably 10-15 years now. Most recently, I came for an eye exam and an updated pair of glasses. While I was shopping for glasses, I was deciding between a new pair of everyday glasses or a pair of sunglasses. I ended up going with a pair of regular Oakley frames, and discussed later ordering the sunglasses online since they were unable to set me up with reflective lenses for the Ray Bans I was interested in. No problem I thought. They printed my script for me and I went on my way. Later the same day as I was attempting to order sunglasses online, I found out I need my Pupillary Distance measurement (PD). I figure, oh no big deal I'll call sterling and get it. I was told over the phone that they do not give that info out (I'm sure it's to stop customers from ordering glasses online) After some quick research, I found a website which instructs how to find your own PD measurement, and I'm confident I have a correct measurement after some time with a ruler in front a mirror and some help from a colleague to double check. This is shady practice, and I will absolutely not be back!!!

I have been taking my son who is special needs to Sterling Optical for the past 4 years. Dr Spivach and the staff are always wonderful with him! They have a great selection too!

I have been going to Deptford Sterling Optical well over 20 years. Dr. Spivack, and all the Drs. & Staff i have seen have always provided excellent friendly professional eye care. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. I have never experienced anything other than exceptional customer service. Great frame selection, thorough eye exams, reasonable pricing. Positive experience every time.

Not sure what all the negative reviews are about but for me, my experience is always positive. I only go here for glasses as I have an ophthalmologist that I go to. They don’t take my insurance any more but I still come here because of Greg and the staff. I get treated well here and the staff is always nice.

I purchased 2 pairs of glasses and had 1 pair of lenses replaced in another I already had owned. Service was great, good quality, completed in a timely manner. I will definitely recommend Sterling Optical to anyone who asks. I will return with any of my future needs for optical!

The doctor I saw this time was just okay (not the most pleasant), however, I loved their employee Chae. She was absolutely the best!! So helpful, kind, and bubbly. You should definitely ask for her when it’s time to pick out and order your frames.

Go anywhere but here to order your glasses. The front desk staff are miserable, unkind and disorganized. No one greeted or offered to help me and was bothered when I asked.

I've been going to this location for a very long time. Suddenly, the secretary asks me for my medical insurance card when I arrive (in addition to my EyeMed card already on file). Stating Dr. Spivak wants it on file for everyone. Then I get my eye exam and Dr. Spivak goes on and on about rewetting drops or allergy eye drops. I never even complained about anything with my eyes nor did I have a problem. I was there for new glasses. When I am leaving, he changed the charge from ROUTINE to MEDICAL and upcharged me $50 copay (from $10) and I imagine this is why he is also collecting the medical insurance. TOTAL FRAUD and MILKING the system. We will NEVER go back. AVOID THIS MONEY GRAB FAKE DR.

I showed up and walked out right before my appointment!! I will get the respect I deserve somewhere else and have been thinking of switching for at least a couple of times!! I will not be paying your no show fee either, so bill me while I chuck it … The nasty attitudes made me make my decision and you are clearly disorganized and don’t care about customers !!! The doctor in the back has been telling me “my eyes won’t change much” for like 3 times now, but I don’t regret coming, as I get to warn people about the poor respect we as customers deserve. Lost my business and my family members will be going elsewhere as well. Don’t believe me, book at Sterling. 2009-2021. Lost me. I’m a loyal customer until I feel excuses are being made. Oh, and don’t send coupons to my mail if you’re gonna say “oh, that’s corporate, we don’t honor that” that’s not my problem !!!
