“The Shops at Riverside is one of my favorite shopping destinations in Bergen County when I’m looking for a more upscale and relaxed shopping experience. The first thing I noticed is that it feels very different from a typical crowded mall. The atmosphere is more polished, comfortable, and quiet, and you can actually take your time walking around without feeling overwhelmed.
There’s a really good variety of stores here, from well-known fashion and luxury brands to home, beauty, jewelry, and specialty stores. There are also plenty of dining options, so it’s easy to turn a shopping trip into a full afternoon or evening. I like that you can come here just to browse, shop for something specific, meet someone for lunch or dinner, or spend a few hours exploring.
The mall itself is clean, modern, and well maintained. I especially like the overall design and the more elegant feel of the interior. There are also comfortable common areas, restrooms, parking, free Wi-Fi, and a designated rideshare pickup and drop-off area, which makes the visit more convenient. (Simon)
Another big advantage is the location. It’s easy to reach from different parts of Bergen County and the surrounding North Jersey area, and there are NJ Transit bus options nearby. For anyone driving, there is plenty of parking, which makes a big difference compared with trying to shop in busy areas where parking becomes part of the problem.
The selection of restaurants is also a major plus. You can find everything from casual options to more upscale dining, so there are choices for a quick meal as well as a nice dinner. The center has continued adding new dining and retail options, which gives you another reason to come back because there is usually something new to check out. (Simon)
If you prefer a calmer shopping environment with a more sophisticated atmosphere, I would definitely recommend checking out The Shops at Riverside. It’s especially good for people who enjoy fashion, luxury shopping, dining, and simply having a comfortable place to spend some time.
Overall, this is a beautiful shopping center with a great mix of stores and restaurants, a clean and upscale atmosphere, convenient parking, and a much more relaxed feeling than some of the larger and more hectic malls in the area. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in Bergen County or anywhere nearby.”

“Remember when they were building this place. Crazy how much it has been developed and I think they utilized the space well. Minimal traffic. Easy on and off of the major parkway. Always amble parking no matter which business I have visited. Only traffic is the drive thru line at Starbucks. But besides that great place. Even to walk around with one or two of my younger children when the other is in a gymnastics class”

“This has been my best-kept secret—until now. The cat’s out of the bag. This little area has everything I need at the last minute, all in one trip. I don’t have to run around town to shop for myself or my family.
One tip: avoid going around 3 PM when school lets out. The kids can get pretty wild while waiting for the bus, especially the 5 bus. Grab a snack and get comfortable—you’ll be standing there for a while. Honestly, you could walk to Manhattan and back and the same people would still be waiting when you return.
Other than that, go on weekends or during school hours and you’ll have a very pleasant shopping experience at the Shops at Bruckner.

“I love Cross County, they have a Victoria Secret, Savage Fenty by Rhianna, a Bath and Body Works. They have this bomb Japanese spot with you get nice combos and a drink. And the ambience is so beautiful and chill. You can relax, great lighting, scenery and space.”

“We visited on a Saturday night with a party of more than 10 people. The manager on duty was very helpful in getting our group seated and made the process smooth. Our server was friendly, attentive, and even brought refills without us having to ask. The food arrived in a timely manner and was delicious.
