“Fantastic selection. Very helpful employees. In the time that we were browsing , two employees asked if we needed help. Special shout out to Susan R ,who rang up our purchase and patiently helped me go get the item she directed me to but still couldnt find. As a retail manager who lives out of state, I can tell her boss that she would be exactly who I'd want as the face of my business. When you have competition all over the area, it's your staff that sets you apart, and Susan does just that. Will use this liquor store for our needs whenever I visit!”

Parking can be awful at the wrong time - even the paid public lot gets full, and this is before the new apartment complex even breaks ground. My suggestion is to shop on a Sunday night since no one knows they're open until 9pm.”

The bourbon selection is huge, the prices are some of the best in New Jersey, and I walked out with three bottles. What really stood out was the service. Andy, the store manager, was awesome. “Neil is simply the best ! The store also has such a wide variety of spirits, wines and beers - really unmatched. Couple that with a guy like Neil who has a wealth and world of experience and is always ready to share, advise and guide but never in an intrusive way. We also recently had a graduation party and got all our liquor needs through HWL and Neil which included a keg. Everything went super smooth. With Neil’s guidance and the stores infrastructure we didn’t miss a beat. Including running out of ice and having them rush over faster than a first responder ! Highly recommend. (As an aside: ask him about Bob Dylan - there’s a story there 🙂).”

As someone who spends a lot of time in the bourbon world, this place stands out - strong selection and clearly curated by people who know what they are doing. What really made the experience, though, was the owners, Pearl and Nirav. They were incredibly warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in building relationships, not just making a sale. We spent a good amount of time talking and never felt rushed. Also a great wine selection. Looking forward to coming back.”
“Been shopping here for years. The Owner is extremely knowledgeable in both brewing and equipment. Novice or Expert they have what you need, but what made me post a review after 5+ years?
I was there today with my infant son and I told the owner i would have to come back for the mash kits as I couldn't carry my son and the kits at the same time. Unprompted the owner grabbed the kits and walked them to my car. Now there is an owner that loves their customers”
