Love how they had a walkway through the parking lot leading up to the main entrance. Most places you would have to navigate through the parking lot.”
“Where do I begin. Let's start for the beginning. From the beginning Anthony was on point. I don't care if I sent him an email after hours he would either respond right away or first thing in the more. He shared all his items to help you make the best choice. And during the day of my our wedding he was hands on. and I mean he made sure the bridal party had whatever was need.
Now let me talk about Desi. Listen to me LOUD and Clear she is the BEST. Desi the captain, was with me every second of the day. She made sure that there was nothing that I needed. She helped me in and out of my dress many times, she made sure that I had food when it was time to eat. We know the bride and groom often don't eat. Not Desi, she made sure we took time to eat. She gave us the space we needed but stayed close by. One of my Bridesmaid fell and Desi pulled out a tide stick. Love it! Someone got makeup on their clothes and she got them club soda and helped them to remove the stain. It's not part of the agreement but if you get Desi please make sure you take care her as well she deserve it. Desi is the real deal and IS the Captain.
Charolette was there during rehearsal and during the wedding she worked hands on with Desi as well. She is amazing as well. If you are thinking about hosting your wedding at The Forest Lodge trust and believe you won't be disappointed. Everything including the food was the best ever!”
“My daughter had a great time celebrating her birthday with her friends. The space here is perfect, plenty of room to run around, friendly inviting atmosphere, variety of canvas option, easy to book and coordinate. Will be hosting more party's here in the future!”
“We had our 50th high school class reunion at the Somerville Elks Lodge BPOE #1068 and it was fantastic. The building is beautiful and very well kept. All facilities were spacious, clean and the staff was exceptional. Highly recommended for any type of gathering.”

“Saw Allison Russell perform here and was blown away by both the venue itself and the people who run it. The concert was held picnic style; we brought wine and lawn chairs. It felt like the NJ version of Stars Hollow.

The space is clean and stocked with amenities such as a big variety of table sizes, heating mats for catering, built in sound system and wifi-enabled monitors for displaying a logo or graphic. The layout of the venue is perfect for hosting, with one large party space and then a bar off on its own. Then, the staff enhances the venue even more…accommodating, kind, friendly, helpful and more. For a kids party (like ours) a milestone celebration of even a small wedding - book here!”
“We had a wonderful time for our son's coming-of-age celebration. The setup is wonderful - the room looks out over the golf course which provides spectacular views. They help you arrange everything you need and are very thoughtful and flexible in their engagement. Maggie was an absolutely terrific partner and we could not recommend this place more strongly! We would love to come back here for our next event.”

“The best bowling lanes in central jersey. Others are not even close to Lucky strikes. All the lanes are well maintained. Lots of options at arcade for both the kids and the adults.”
“My daughter had her wedding at the Sherwood Chalet on 6/8. From start to finish everything was perfect. Anthony, Maria and Charlotte were there every step of the way and insured my daughters dream wedding was fulfilled.

“The Pet Expo was fantastic. Very crowded and lots of vendors. The building needs a bit of updating, especially the restrooms. The parking area is horrendous. It's not configured well and the road needs repair in too many places.”
“My favorite theater in the area for sure. Love ordering popcorn in advance so I don’t have to wait in line. The loungers are awesome. Super comfy and even heat your behind. Nothing comes close to it in the area.”
“Had my daughter's birthday party here. It ended up being better than expected. The staff were excellent in making sure our needs were met and our party was happy. Khryi, the manager, met us and made it clear where we are setup and what to do. Nehemiah, our host, checked in often and made the whole thing stress free. We they even decorated the area around the lanes to make it feel extra special.
The food was fine, but there was plenty of it. As others have stated, it's string/marionetted bowling. So if you are looking for a more pro setup, this isn't it. However it's fine enough for a friend's night out or a party as we had.
I don't k ow about a random night out, but if you are looking to host an event here, think of it like top golf but with bowling. It really was a good time for my daughter and her friends and highly recommend!”

“This was a fantastic stay! The hotel is very roomy and spacious, yet it still manages to feel warm and cozy. There’s plenty to enjoy on-site, including a great bar and restaurant.
The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The lobby offers lots of comfortable hangout space, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and equipped with just the right amenities.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for a wonderful stay!”
“We hosted a wedding hotel block at Courtyard Basking Ridge and the staff was so easy to work with and helped make our wedding weekend run so smooth. The events team was so accommodating, they even helped organize an accessible shuttle for our guests! “Historic, charming, and quaint hotel in the center of Bernardsville, close to a number of restaurants and shops. The hotel restaurant, the Red Horse, was quite good. Cute bar area, too. I enjoyed a lovely dinner there on my first night. Breakfasts at the Bernards Cafe and the Coffee Shop were both really good. Hotel room was pretty clean but bathroom was tight on space, mainly due to a lovely but too large sink that stuck out too far and made navigating to the toilet and shower a little awkward, and I'm average sized. Bed was comfortable. Parking can be limited in the hotel lot but you can park for free overnight across the street at the NJ Transit Bernardsville train station. Comfortable bed. Note: the front desk controls the thermostat in the room. But they were very obliging with adjusting the temperature in the room when needed. I'd stay here again.”
