It’s hard to find a mechanic shop that is upfront and stands by their word, but Aamco of East Brunswick is that shop! Well knowledgeable mechanics who care, couldn’t be happier with my experience using these guys. Would recommend them to anyone who needs work done on their car! Thanks again guys at Aamco

Our local mechanic referred us to Aamco East Brunswick regarding the check engine light on our KIA. Of course it has the be an issue with the transmission. 😭 My husband and I expected costly repairs and to not see our car for several weeks. Not only was our car returned to us within a few days, the repair cost did not decimate our finances. Bob and Peter were the absolute best! Thanks again for taking care of us.

I’ve always had a great experience with AAMCO especially in my hometown of Memphis, TN and the one in Hackensack, I’ve always reliably used them. Im assuming the owner the elder guy Peter is cool and nice guy, he pleasantly joked and complimented me about my Afro, when I first entered the shop. But his advisor, Bob just ripped me off. Before coming in, I initially told them that I did not have any extra money for a diagnostic fee, and if it was to let me know how much. To which he said I could come on in and they could see what they could do and they’d inspect it for free. Mind you, i just had my starter, Alternator and my battery replaced, 2 which is OEM (Denso) for a 2009 Acura TL. I knew it was the serpentine belt being installed incorrectly from the previous mechanic and after sitting in there for an hour, they charged me $200 for a diagnostic fee, which they claimed was a bad tensioner. I knew this was a lie because the tensioner rolled smoothly, I had another AAMCO check and 3 other mechanics confirm that the belt wasn’t installed correctly the day before and after the visit to this shop. I even showed them the initial picture, which prompted them to take it off and compare it to the new one, again rolled smoothly and tensions when tightened. They also wanted to charge another $500 to install a new serpentine tensioner and belt. Just to come and find out the tensioner rolled smoothly and it was confirmed by another AAMCO and 3 mechanics. I understand a mechanic job isn’t to help you truly, but to make money off of everything, but swindling me $200 for a diagnostics fee that I told you I didn’t have money for and he told me they would inspect it for free and then lie about the issue to make more money is insane. Peter is a good guy but Bob and the rest of his mechanics there are liars, looking to make money. Please have your car check by multiple mechanics, and try another AAMCO. Thanks.

Great experience with AAMCO East Brunswick (NJ). Fast, Friendly and Functional. We had a significant problem with the transmission of our Ford Edge. The job got done by the AAMCO team in East Brunswick in 24 hours, and we had our car back quickly. They will do a second check as a courtesy in a week to make sure that all is still in line with expectations.

Technicians possess exceptional professionalism and expertise. While waiting for my car, I observed a technician performing a transmission rebuild with remarkable skill. As a former mechanic, I find it more comfortable to drive over half an hour to this shop for all my car’s transmission services. Many car dealers claim that sealed transmissions require no maintenance. However, I prefer to keep all my cars exceeding 300,000 miles. Modern cars are significantly more intricate and precise than those from two decades ago, particularly in terms of transmission service, which necessitates specialized instruments for accurate diagnosis and repair. I highly recommend this shop for any transmission-related work. The store manager, Bob, is also very friendly and the prices are reasonable.

I had a very pleasant experience with AAMCO in East Brunswick. Chris was helpful and friendly during this process. I was dealing with some car issues and the repairs here were much more affordable than the dealer I initially got my car inspected at. I was able to drop off my vehicle and they called me a LYFT to get home. They were also flexible with my schedule and made sure I could pick up my car after work when it was ready. Great experience, thanks guys!

Was having electrical issues with my Suzuki, both Matt and Chris were quick and helpful, and the shop was quite efficient! I dropped my car off with a cluster of issues and had it back the next day completely resolved.
