They are thief! I had a visit today for my kitten. The vet visited him and he prescribed 2 medication. When I got home I noticed I had the same medications at home which I used previously to my other cat. I called them right after, so about 20 min after his visit and I asked if I can return them (since all medications are very expensive) back, they said for the policy we cannot accept them after leave the hospital. Beside that I checked online and the same medications are very cheaper than those. So if they prescribe you a medications please check online first cause you will find it cheaper price!

Banfield made a miracle for us, especially for Pet Travel / USDA Health Certificate. Let me start off that all the staff and one of the partner Vets, Doctor Anna Bernstein are super compassionate and are very eager to help. Even better, their prices are spot on and have no overcharges needed nor would they want to give unnecessary service unlike other Vets these days.Long story short, our appointment for another Vet for pet travel did not work out due to disagreement with layover rules. This vet was even trying to charge us more than a $1000 for services that they wanted to do plus extra charge for "expediting" in 10 days. Mind you, majority of EU countries require certificate WITHIN 10 days. We have called the layover country and even the airport terminal's Agricultural Quarantine Inspection Agency. And after running out of a very short window of time for USDA Health Certificate for our travel for our wedding to the Philippines, they were the ONLY Vet that was willing to take us across the entire New Jersey after the whole fiasco with a corporate Vet that we had an appointment. Mind you, USDA health certificates expire in 10 days and that's how short of a window you have for pet travel. She walked us through the process without jumping through any hoops unlike what other Vets were making it out into and even showed us requirements between Philippines, the layover in Korea and any layover rules right in the USDA website that Vets check before signing off. She was the only one that we found who was willing to create the electronic submission through USDA's VEHCS system (will make your submission much faster than mailing given that your destination country accepts electronic copy of the Heatlh Cert).I am forever grateful to Banfield Pet Hospital. We received the electronic copy of the the Health Certificate the next day signed by her and electronically stamped by USDA which was 1 business day away from our flight and we can spend our weekend before our flight and wedding with a lot less stress.

This Banfield location has the most sweet and compassionate staff. I believe her name was Melissa or Maria…she went above and beyond help me get information and contact customer service, in order to rectify another situation that happened at a different Banfield hospital. She truly is the sweetest person I have spoke to at Banfield!

Last week I brought my 17 year old poodle here to have put to sleep due to declining health. The staff was very caring and understanding! They helped her to make her transition as smooth as possible!

Came today 8/21 at 5pm and its closed a whole hour early. Couldn't pick up my pets ashes. Not acceptable. Pet Smart nor Pet Hotel knew of their closing early.

This place sucks, they don’t return your calls and when you do call they’re rude. Try to rush you off the phone and have no empathy for your pet . I wouldn’t even take a roach to this place. Had to change locations ! Let’s hope the new place isn’t like this .

I received an unexpected voicemail from Banfield Pet in East Brunswick, NJ, claiming that I owe them $118.24. I have never taken my pet to their facility nor signed up for their services. Despite this, I received a threatening call at 4:40 PM stating that my account would be sent to a collections agency if I did not pay by 5:00 PM. After conducting some research online, this may be a common scam and a significant consumer issue. When I requested my account number, the representative could not provide one but insisted I pay by 5 PM. This demand is ridiculous, and I am still trying to understand how a company with so many complaints is still in business. Their primary business strategy threatens customers to extract money.I intend to file a complaint with their corporate office and hope they take action to address this unethical business practice.

Their front desk team is very unprofessional. Their standard response: "Is this a medical emergency? If not, then hold".Then you'll end up waiting, and no one will ever respond. I observed this behavior at their clinic, too; they put callers on his hold for every possible silly reason.

My dog of 17 years passed away yesterday. I have been using Banfield for years.I called to cancel my monthly payment for the wellness care.I was told I had a contract until 10/19/2023 and I'm still obligated to pay until the plan is paid in full. So I have to pay for seven more months without using the service.When you go to Banfield everyone there pretends that they care about you and your pet. Not true.....It's all about the MONEY !!!!
