Absolutely Horrible Experience – Don’t Waste Your Time!
I had one of the worst customer service experiences ever at Monro Auto Service and Tire Centers in East Brunswick . After purchasing a Groupon deal and calling to book an appointment through their call center, I drove over an hour to the location — only to be told they couldn’t take me.
The store hours clearly say 7 AM to 7 PM, but for some bizarre reason, the front desk employee named Dennis told me they don’t take any appointments after 4 PM. Why would you offer appointment slots through your official call center and then refuse service when customers actually show up?
The whole interaction felt shady and dismissive. To be honest, it really seemed like they just didn’t want to honor the Groupon, but instead of being upfront, they just made up an excuse to turn me away.
I wasted gas, time, and energy. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. Avoid this place at all costs — especially if you’re using a Groupon.

While i appreciate them getting my oil change done quickly, i felt like i got robbed. I purchased a groupon for about $68 for full synthetic. After they completed they said sales tax was not covered and it was $25.19. That’s ridiculous. What’s the point of the Groupon than??! Not coming again

I would definitely recommend Monro Auto Services I bought a Groupon and I only had to pay the Taxes that was not covered

This was my first visit to Monro, auto service, to have my brakes done. They answered all my questions relieving me of any concerns. I felt that their customer service was exceptionally well. Upon returning my car, they took it for a test, drive or inspection. I was very pleased with the ride home. I highly recommend Monro and will be returning for services in the future. Great job!

I will not go there again.. i appreciated they took in my car and looked at it pretty fast. But...walking in, the man that came to the desk just walked in and asked me what can he do for me. No hello, no smile, nothing. Took my car keys and I waited. I went in for a quick service what I thought. My tire had a nail in it, everyone that I have shown the picture to, had said it could be plugged. My father is a former mechanic but doesn't live in Jersey anymore so he couldn't help. They told me there was no possible way it could be plugged. It is too close to the shoulder of the tire. It would have to be replaced for $250 something for a tire they had in stock or $300 something to order the tire that i had. Also I knew my car needed back brakes so they quoted me that and some other stuff. I not knowing anything about car was going to do it until I phoned my husband who said no way thats ridiculous! I appreciate the guys taking time to look at my car but I took my car to a mom/pop shop and they plugged my tire for $25 and did my brakes for half the price I was quoted. This place just wants to make sales and charges way too much money for the service! I know better now.

I’ve been coming here for years and I see different faces but the new manager really knows what he’s talking about. It’s very knowledgeable and he’s good at what he does store does need a little touchup, But as work goes quality workers top notch would definitely recommend a family and friends

Got an oil change last week. I was in & out of there in 20 minutes. Friendly staff. They were actually having an oil change special that I didn't even know about. 16 bucks for a conventional o/c. Good deal.

The nice assistant manager was kind, honest, professional & knowledgeable during our service. He waited and did not close the store early as he knew we were on the way. We will definitely be back!

Made an on-line appointment using a Groupon voucher for dynamic wheel balancing and wheel alignment. While there had front brake pads replaced and an oil change.
Very pleased with the service both in terms of friendliness and scope of work performed in a timely manner.

I purchased a groupon for a oil change w/tire rotaion and filter for 31.99. I went to use my coupon at monro route 18 East Brunwick. The Manager told me it would cost me $10.00 more for this service. I paid online with groupon so I asked why do have to pay $10.00 more his answer was that's the way it is. Well I was so upset that I had to write this review. I wasted time and money going for this service I requested a refund back from groupon and did my service at Hyudai. I feel like this manager was trying to get lunch money from me. I have never used a groupon and had to pay more. The groupon also had + get $10.00 dollars cash back. I showed the coupon to the manager and he could not explain this either. Very disappointed at my experience there.
