The School of Rock Camp is unique. My son was able to be a part of a rock band with other children who enjoy music like he does. He was able to play the electric guitar for the first time and loved it. At the end of the week of camp, they performed for us, and it was amazing to see all that the kids learned in a week. My son really had a blast and looks forward to going again next summer.

Our son has been attending School of Rock for 4 years and still loves it! The instructors not only teach but they are great mentors and role models as well. He has made friends and has always been comfortable in all of his lessons and band practices. He has gained tremendous confidence and is proud to be a part of a band.

The instructors have a real love of music and encourage my son to learn more and he’s excited to go weekly. I am also so happy my son has met a great group of friends that he sees outside of practice.

School of Rock has taught my son self confidence which you can not put a price tag on. We absolutely love School of Rock and all of the instructors. They are professional and work great with children! There are not enough positive things I could say about School of Rock in East Brunswick!

My daughter started here a year ago at 16. The professionalism and knowledge of the instructors here are nothing short of amazing! My daughter has transformed into a phenomenal musician that we give this establishment 100 percent credit for. This is like a family here…I would not have my children go anywhere else!

My daughter has been taking drum lessons here for over a year now, she has developed so much that she surprises everyone that hears her play and has done so while loving her time at the school. The staff is very capable of teaching music while, just as importantly, great at making the experience super enjoyable for the kids.

The East Brunswick School of Rock is providing the BEST musical learning experience available. The methods used to teach the young people about music theory are far superior to the typical music lessons being given at other so called schools. The ability to take what is learned and apply it on stage is what separates SOR from all others. The instructors are very knowledgeable and love working with the students. The Biondi family is professional and caring. They work with families in order to ensure that the students can continue with their musical journey. I highly recommend this SOR location and encourage all parents to give them a try.

Bad management. My grandson went to the camp here. Very expensive and not very professional…..his brand new guitar broke on the first day at camp….the counselor didn’t see what happened…well where was he?? There are only 6 kids in the class and a small room. How could he not know what happened? The web site says that they will provide instruments….all they could provide him with was an electric guitar….which he did not like ….not what he wanted so they convinced him to play the keyboard. We had to convince him that he had to try to go back the next day….he was very upset but this place is too expensive to just give up. They advertise all kinds of “great” teaching methods and that your child will learn how to play a song. Well for over $400 he learned 3 notes on the keyboard. They had a show at the end of the week…what joke…the drummer and the two guitar player obviously had been going to this place for lessons for quite a while. They should really have better management. Another point came up that my grandson said it was too loud…I sent him with my phone headphones and asked when I dropped him off if they had headphones he could use since mine were not really the correct ones….I was told they have them but they are on a first come first served basis…well when I went to the show no other child had headphones so where were they ones that they had. The room is so tiny and they had tremendous speakers….way too loud for this purpose…I know sound like and old lady but this place is not what it’s advertised to be. At least for the camps. Maybe their lessons are better but if I were you I wouldn’t waste my money here. And now we have to buy another guitar!

E.b. School of Rock has changed my son's life! He started taking drum lessons last fall. He has sensory issues and is extremely reserved, especially around new people. Rather than give up on him when we brought him in for a tryout lesson, Joe immediately worked at creating a connection. By the end of that lesson, Joe formed a bond with him and put my son at ease. Joining performance classes was a terrifying prospect but all of the teachers worked really hard toUnderstand my son's needs and meet them. Within 3 months it was time for their 1st performance show. My son had a meltdown and refused to perform until we arrived and the staff put him at ease. Joe even went up on stage and directed my son for the parts that were a challenge, but he placed himself on stage in a way that it wasn't obvious that he was helping. I couldn't believe that my painfully shy child was on stage drumming to several songs, in front of a room full of strangers. It was nothing short of a miracle. Then Covid happened and everything went remote. Remote learning for school was awful for us. When it came to drums we knew he would need a drum set to continue with lessons. Even though SOR was totally accomodating and able to provide lessons without us having a drum set, our son's issues would make that too difficult. We knew how positive a change it had been so we were determined to keep the lessons going. School of Rock helped us place an order and get our drum set at a discount, in a very short time. Since remote learning was a huge challenge, Joe found fun games to play related to things my son loves, to keep him engaged and practicing. This summer when we were able to get back into school, my son was SO excited to go back! Now, drum lessons and performance practices are his favorite part of the week! At the end of summer they had another performance. It was barely 2 months (8 lessons) after returning and the show was incredible!!! I don't know how they did it in such a short time, but it was spectacular! My family was blown away at the sight of my child confidently waiting for his turn to play. He performed in several songs, with no help this time, sitting proudly behind the drum set. He actually enjoyed performing! There are no words to express what a tremendous change School of Rock has had on my son's life, and it's barely been a year. They are absolutely amazing and we are so grateful for everything they've done for our son!!! Everyone should sign their thild up to take lessons at School of Rock East Brunswick!! Rock on!!

You don’t know how many parents I meet who share the same story “my kid tried to play guitar but got bored and quit” or “my kid quit playing piano...she just wouldn’t practice”. Our local School of Rock in East Brunswick is the answer. My two sons started three years ago and they LOVE it. The formula there is simple: individual lessons combined with a full band experience. My sons actually practice without me asking because a) they don’t want to let down their fellow band members, and b) they have so much fun at rehearsals and live performances playing. When music is fun for kids they keep doing it, and the longer they keep doing it the better they get. The young men and women who serve as instructors there have become cool musical role models for my boys, introducing them to new bands and genres they may have never experienced. I just can’t say enough about this program and the professional staff. When they graduate from the school, School of Rock will have given them a skill which will allow them to find a like-minded community wherever they go in life. Sorry I went a little overboard! I strongly recommend this for any school aged kid.
