“Consistent the food is always great. The butcher cuts of meat are exceptional. They always cut the cold cuts thin. I've been buying food from A & S for a while and I'm never disappointed. So glad there is a real Italian pork store near me. Grilled artichoke hearts are delicious. Stuffed peppers to die for. I just had the pasta flagiol as close to my Grandma's I've ever had. Bring any of this to a party you'll be a hit. Oh the stuffed breads yummy. Really good Italian food.”

“Wow! Just absolutely wow! I am a steak guy. Always have been. When the pandemic hit back in 2020, I got into cooking steaks at home out of necessity. If I can't go to NYC's finest steak houses, I need to learn how to make the stuff at home. DeBragga, Pat LaFrieda, Snake River Farms, all have good delivery options and I tried them all. F.A. DeRosa smokes every one of those larger fine purveyors. The dry aged porterhouse from F.A. has become a staple in my grill routine. It is hands down the best porterhouse I have ever had. I have had probably 30 of them and have no desire to slow down. Stack it up next to Wolfgangs or the master of them all Peter Luger, F.A. DeRosa could supply those guys AND if you know your way around a grill you can easily surpass their quality in terms of cook and taste. If you live in NYC, love steak and are considering a move to the suburbs strongly consider Westfield just based on proximity to these guys. If you love steak and live within 150 miles of here make the pilgrimage. It is totally worth it. I have traveled with this stuff to friends houses in Virginia, Pennsylvania and Long Island City and they always demand more claiming its the best they have ever had. The owners are unbelievably friendly and quick with a tour of their shop and the meat locker. Come check this place out. If you love steak you will love F.A. DeRosa.”

“If you're polish you will find everything you may need here - just like back home. Including some cosmetics, magazines and medicines. Selection is huge for a pretty small place. Meats, cheeses and cold cuts are top quality. They also have hot food which is way better than in most Polish restaurants in the area. Selection includes soups and desserts. Perfect place to get your polish supplies or to experience Polish homemade food.”
“Definitely worth an hour plus trip to shop for Turkish groceries. The fresh fruit section with the home in season Amish tomatoes is definitely must grab a few. Then you go back to the bakery section where you can smell the freshly baked pastries, while you’re shopping for your afternoon tea on the next section makes the experience memorable.”

Whenever I want to get a good kosher pastrami sandwich, I always had to drive to kosher nosh in Teaneck! Well that’s over. I found this place and I couldn’t be happier. They even had the calves feet bones that I have been searching for , for over a month to make my grandmas old school p’tcha. “We ordered a filet mignon roast for the holidays and it was fantastic. It was trimmed beautifully and Mike wrapped it in bacon for us. We actually wound up with 2 roasts. All of our guests said it was the best steak they ever had. Will definitely be ordering again and the price was so reasonable. Can‘t wait to try their other meats.”

“This store is really special, and has easily grown into one of my top three favorite spots in Montclair. It certainly has the feel of days gone by in all the best of ways. The food is fresh, they have an immaculate menu of sandwiches (and this includes for vegetarians!) and ready-mades. They also have a really fantastic, specialized selection of dried pastas, snacks, sauces, jams, etc. My husband and I went for the first time earlier this month and we were really blown away by this gem. The staff and (who I presumed to be) the owner are courteous, clearly work hard, and are friendly. I asked for several different sandwiches, half a pound of their homemade turkey breast, and some premades, and it seemed to be during a rush hour. I had a question about their selections, and while the staff that was helping me didn't know the answer, she didn't blow over it and instead made sure to check with the owner. This was in the middle of rush hour and there was a strong and consistent line of people; the owner, in spite of all the running around and multitasking, made sure to get me an answer and responded in such a kind and friendly way. It really made me nostalgic for more specialty stores that are run by actual people instead of a generic, mass marketed, one stop capitalist shop. Truly, Rosario's reinforces the ideology of 'shop local.' Highly recommend!”

This place has everything you would need for a BBQ they offer a variety of spices and different types of meat. This place is my to go place for affordable high quality cuts of meat. I walked out of here with 3 lbs of chicken breasts and spent between 5-6 dollars. This butcher shop is really affordable and so far good quality meat. Newarkians should check it out.
