I don’t usually write Yelp reviews, but I told myself this one was long overdue.
There’s a young man named Anthony at this AutoZone in East Rutherford, with curly, bushy hair and a chill, helpful vibe, who is hands down one of the most knowledgeable and courteous employees I’ve ever dealt with at any auto parts store. Every time I come in and Anthony is working, I leave feeling like my car problems just got 10x easier.
He’s patient, doesn’t rush you, and somehow always manages to find the exact part I need, even when I barely know what I’m talking about. He explains things in a way that makes sense, and you can tell he genuinely enjoys helping people.
Honestly, I’ve jokingly said to myself: “If Anthony’s not working today, I might as well come back when he is.” That’s how reliable and helpful he’s been. AutoZone, take note, this guy’s a gem.
Keep up the great work, Anthony!

I needed 4 lug nuts for my tire. The guy at the store sold me 4 after I told him the make and model of my car. I made the mistake of throwing out my receipt in the trash can outside. I went out to my car and the lug nuts he sold me were not the right size. I went back into the store, maybe 10 minutes later to return the lug nuts. I went over to the same worker and told him he gave me the wrong lug nuts. He told me I needed my receipt to make a return. I had to go outside and dig through the trash can in front of CVS. I couldn't find the receipt. I went back into AutoZone and I explained that I literally just bought the lug nuts 10 minutes ago FROM YOU. He still said without a receipt, I couldn't get my money back. He would only give me store credit. I asked him that since the purchase was only 10 minutes ago, couldn't he just reprint my receipt and use that??? He said no! At this point , he could have even voided the transaction and given me back my $29. But no!!! He was extremely stubborn and not understanding in any way. He sold me the wrong lug nuts. Yes, I made the mistake of tossing my receipt... But it was literally 10 minutes from purchasing. He gave me store credit which I will never use. I just don't understand why he couldn't help me. I feel like he was just trying to make a stand. Don't throw your receipt out guys.

I want to give a big shout out to Kameron for helping me with my issue! I had a coolant hose that popped a hose and he found the exact hose I needed immediately! I fixed the issue on the spot and my part was given to me swiftly ! Amazing service today!

I’m here a few times and month and I always find the employees knowledgeable and helpful. The store is always clean and well organized. A little while back I needed to replace the headlight bulb in my car and my mechanic was backed up. Lance, helped me located and install the correct bulb saving lots of time and aggravation. Thanks so much.

This is where customer service goes to die. I was there last week and asked one of the employees some advice on how to check oil level. Their response "We sell auto parts, not give advice". Everyone in this store needs serious retraining on what it means to provide customer service with curtesy an respect. If he didn't want to answer, he could have said "Sorry, I don't have an answer to that. Let me ask my colleague" or "have you tried searching on YouTube? Let me know help you" or "I would love to help but I'm not allowed to walk out the store to show but I can give you some tips"

First AutoZone location I’ve been to where employees are looking to be as helpful as possible. Came here for fuel injector cleaners and had my car battery tested because of ignition stalling that had been occurring sporadically. Turned out my battery was beginning to fail and I was still within my 3 year warranty. Lance not only assisted in changing out my battery, but he went above and beyond with overcoming several unexpected obstacles that occurred during installation. The only person who has ever shown this much care and perseverance in helping me with my car is my own father. Lance is a huge asset to AutoZone! Thank you so much! Very grateful!

Manager trash, keep asking if I am paying cash and if I pay cash he can give a special deal but I have to give him the money at one side of the store

I went to AutoZone today and I met Lance I was having a problem with My car he told me exactly what I needed to do he helped me do it with amazing customer service he’s an asset to your company he should train people on his customer service I hope you appreciate him I would definitely go there and see Lance!
