No fridge, no microwave...doing renovations on a weekend right out side the room. Stairs are iffy at best, and parking lot is full of pot holes.

Pulling up, do not confuse the abandoned building on the lot next to the pull in as a part of the hotelThe rooms are well done and clean. Standard ware and tear. No stains on the bed or wall.We booked online after midnight and we couldn't check into the next day. Joe, working overnight was very kind and helpful. The system wouldn't allow him to check us in and was very courteous and apologetic. His customer service skills and kindness are definitely deserving of a raise. The inner area is also really nice and tranquil. I unfortunately didn't have the opportunity to enjoy it, but aim to be back next time I'm up

When we first got here we felt a bit of a Bates motel vibe. The interior of the room had chipped paint, bare walls, not a very finished product. We were immediately worried about bed bugs, as we saw a couple of reviews that mentioned it. I was very happy to see that they had the beds bagged, so that was not an issue. I spoke with the front desk, who assured me that they have an exterminator who comes regularly, and they are on top of those kinds of things. Staff was very helpful and friendly, and was happy and eager to help us with anything we needed. The pool is clean and well kept, definitely a highlight of our stay. A small fridge and a microwave was a nice feature. Ultimately, if You are on a budget, and it's one of the cheaper available options, I would recommend it. Of course your mileage may vary, but we actually had a wonderful time here. Very Spartan breakfast, but cereal, pancakes, and bananas were enough for us. Don't be scared off by some negative reviews.

In the Crystal Inn motel right now, staying 3 nights... Staff are very polite, professional, I received email before the stay that everything is booked. Service desk explained everything to me about WiFi, breakfast, everything was paid. My bed is comfy, the room is clean, stocked with supplies. For the price, location, this is an excellent motel, I will be staying here again next year, keep it up crystal Inn!!!

We had to switch from our first room because the AC was broken. Room a were fairly clean. They were pet-friendly. They say they have continental breakfast but it’s just cereal. Good enough for a one night stay.

Such an absolute piece of junk. Rooms stink terribly of cigs, very very strong stench. Floors were not cleaned, pillows and bed are awful.

This place is a filthy dump! My boyfriend checked in and out so I didn’t deal with any staff but I can assure the cleaning crew is lazy as hell! As we entered the building we were met with a pungent order of cat piss. As we got into our room the Oder got stronger. Like a cat pissed all over the hotel room. When we went into the room I was disgusted. Dirty walls, floors shelves and the bathroom was grotesque. Stains and dirt everywhere. I saw from another review someone found bed bugs so we quickly stripped the bed and inspected. They had bed protectors in thankfully but that didn’t call me down. We went to target and bought our own bedding. The towns didn’t seem clean thankfully we brought our own. I heard a cat meowing and a huge dog barking. The area isn’t too safe. It’s right behind a gentleman’s club. There are signs on the door that says lock the doors and being in all belongs for safety reasons. I didn’t feed sage in the room because there wasn’t proper locks to protect people inside. I just can’t get over how gross is was. It’s close to the beach yea but the photos online are very deceiving. I took so many photos I don’t know how to upload themNoteworthy details: Do not come here!

This hotel has the potential for being great but unfortunately it’s not. Staff was very friendly and helpful upon check in. However, the rooms are filthy and the building overall looks run down. Feet were black after walking across the floor, room smelled of cigarette smoke, found cockroaches on the door, and the bathroom was in shambles where part of the wall was peeling off. If we were staying more than one night, we would have gone elsewhere. I felt uncomfortable just using the bathroom as well (dried boogers on the door frame next to the wall falling apart). The pros are it is close to beaches, great restaurants, and in a nice area. I hope they can fix this place up and make it desirable! Unfortunately I will not be coming back. Overly expensive for roaches and disgusting rooms.

Thankfully my family & I only had to stay one night at Crystal Inn Eatontown. We booked a double non-smoking room ($240+) and the first room we were placed in reeked of cigarettes, was dirty & infested with flies, had broken mirror, cigarette burns in the curtains, etc. I called the front desk and asked to be switched to a non-smoking room since that is what I booked. The room that we were moved to was slightly more updated and smelled less of cigarettes, but it was still very rough around the edges. There were several bugs that had found their way into the room (flies, beetles, etc), the toilet would not flush properly even after requesting a plunger from the front desk & using it, the walls & floors were filthy and had obviously not been cleaned, and the beds were very uncomfortable. Each room has two doors and the keycard only works for one of those doors (either one facing the pool or facing the poorly lit parking lot). The only good thing about our stay was the staff, they were very friendly & helpful.I do not recommend this place to anyone. The pictures are a misrepresentation, the price is outrageous for the state of the hotel, and I felt unsafe staying there.

I would highly recommend you stay at this motel for the following 3 reasons:1. You enjoy horror movies - think Crystal Lakes from Friday the 13th2. You hate people - the customer service was terrible3. You always wanted to be a forensic scientistI booked this motel through Expedia because it somehow had mostly positive reviews. I am not sure how that is even possible. Upon arrival, we entered the lobby area to find nobody behind the front desk. A man was sitting in the lobby eating and informed us that the manager would be right back and that he was dealing with a problem in one of the rooms. After 10 or more minutes, the manager arrived. He then had to contact the maids to find out which rooms were clean and ready for the night. We were given 2 rooms on the second "floor". I use the term floor loosely because the entire upstairs walkway was nothing but plywood. Upon entering the first room it seemed clean enough. However, any time I stay anywhere, I always pull back the sheets to check for bedbugs. Pulling back the sheets revealed a mattress cover that looked fairly old. Through this cover it looked like there was something on the corner of the mattress underneath. We unzipped the cover to find a large stain on the mattress that appeared to be blood. This prompted us to fully pull back the cover. Here's where the forensics team needs to be brought in. There were several different stains on the mattress. After playing a quick game of "Guess the body fluid" we determined that it looked like not only blood but vomit and urine as well. We immediately went back to the front desk to ask for a refund as we were obviously not going to stay in those conditions. I told the manager that there were stains on the bed and his response was to say "oh you pulled back the cover?" as if he knew the condition of the mattress already! Clearly this happens often as he did not even try to argue when I asked for a refund. I would 10/10 recommend you sleep in a lion's den before you sleep at this motel. It is probably both cleaner and more safe.

I was pleasantly surprised. I grew up in the area, aware this motel has been here forever. I don't come back to NJ in the summer months because of the room rates being outrageous. I ended up here at the Crystal Inn because I could get a room under $200 a night. Upon checking in (hint: check in online instead of walking in to save a few more pennies), the young man who greeted me behind the plexiglass was pleasant and polite. The room was clean. The shower was awesome, and the water pressure was strong. The beds are not the softest, but we had a good night's sleep, and the beds are bug free. The TV was large and there was a mini fridge and microwave in the room. Rooms open to the pool area, which has plenty of lounge chairs. The water was crystal clear, and the pool was very well maintained. All in all, well worth the price, especially for the NJ shore area in the summertime!!

I live right up the street from there and check into a room at least 5 times a year. My partner and I tend to get into arguments and need space from time to time. They are extremely friendly with me. They are very clean. One time I had forgotten my phone charge it was late at night checking in and the lady at the desk let me use her spare. I've read in comments for the price it's not hyped up. Not sure if these people writing that are from somewhere with no attractions but this is the heart of the Jersey shore and $100 dollars is not bad at all for a clean, friendly environment with a nice clean pool to cool off in. I have the option of either staying at the crystal inn or the Pan American motel which I stayed once and when flipped the light on in the bathroom the roaches were so comfortable they didn't even scatter about.Nearby activities: Beach, restaurants, gyms, you have Red Bank which has many different restaurants, vintage stores, comic stores, waterfront parks, you have long branch which has one of the best jersey beaches...super popular ones and more secluded less busy ones.Food & drinks: Doordash, diners, nice restaurants, fast food.
