Nice place, friendly staff but very expensive adoption fees compared to others. I wound up adopting 2 kittens from a different shelter and only paid $55 for each. The kittens I adopted are beautiful, happy, and healthy. They have their shots and were spay and neutered. I believe the adoption for kitten and young cats was $250 each. This adoption fee is ridiculous! This is why they have so many cats still there. This is a wealthy persons shelter ?

Amazing team and facility here. We adopted a kitten (Dolly now named Hollie) back in August and the process was so smooth. I highly recommend if you’re looking to add a furry member to your family!

Excellent people and a great place to adopt a pet. My pet cat Libby was adopted here over ten years ago they're pretty awesome about their policies and shots and requirements. Donations are welcomed of course and rightly needed. There's a Thrift Shop on the premises as well that offers a variety of men and women clothing, pet clothing and accessories, hats, scarves, gloves, and wall decor among other items everything is inexpensive and they take donations as well.

Horrible customer service. I had the date wrong for a spay in September, which I had rescheduled. They then called me to reschedule because they made a mistake a had double-booked me. We were rescheduled to December, but we had Covid and I called and they said they would hold my deposit and call in January to reschedule. I called today to do that and I was told that my deposit was gone, and they would need another one, and that the first deposit wouldn't count towards the spay. This was the first time that I was told I would lose my deposit, and they were NASTY and ARGUED that they only had record of my cancelling, and NOT them. They also had the nerve to state that the deposit covers them when they lose money for cancellations, but I hardly believe that since they are in the habit of double-booking. Don't waste your time or money.

We went there to drop off some excess dog food that we had. It was great to see so many people there picking up pets and giving them a new home for Christmas.

This is an appreciation post. On October 28, 2017 we adopted a Bichon Poodle named Windy (name changed to Cooper) from the MCSPCA. Unfortunately he passed away on July 10, 2023 due to Diabetes, Cushing's Disease and other illness. We chose to go to this shelter because of a personal references from a friend who had also adopted from there. The entire staff was amazing and I tell anybody who wants to adopt a pet to go there. You won't be disappointed. We don't know when if ever we will be ready to adopt again but when and if that time comes we will definitely adopt our next fur baby from the MCSPCA.

These people LOVE animals, and that is the number one qualifier, in my opinion, for a 5 star rating at an animal shelter. They made adopting our two baby cats easy, fun, and exciting. I worked specifically with Nina, who was wonderful in answering a ton of emails and questions before we got to the adoption center.Would recommend this place 100 times over. They were amazing.
