I drove about an hour to bring my dog here, and after doing a LOT of research and comparing prices with vets throughout New Jersey and New York, I can confidently say that it was absolutely worth the drive.

From the moment we arrived, the entire process was incredibly organized. They operate like a well-oiled machine. I texted when we arrived, waited for them to let us know when to come in, and everything moved smoothly and efficiently. My dog was ready for pickup exactly when they said he would be.

What really stood out to me, though, was how kind and patient everyone was. My dog is extremely high-energy and can be a handful, and every single person who handled him was patient, gentle, and reassuring. They were also just as kind and thorough with me, which meant a lot because, naturally, I was nervous leaving my dog for surgery.

The communication and follow-up were also excellent. When we got home, I noticed that my dog had been trying to lick at his incision, so I emailed them. They responded quickly, asked me to send a picture, reassured me that everything looked okay, and let me know that I could bring him back if I had any concerns. That immediate response gave me so much peace of mind.

And the price is incomparable with what I was quoted by other veterinary practices. I really did my research, and the difference was significant. You know your price before and any add ons are your choice. Everything is included in the price you were told- no hidden fees.

“My dogs got their grooming done by Yellow Roof in March, but I’ve been meaning to make a well deserved review. I left NJ in May and have yet to have had as perfect results as the groomers at Yellow Roof had for my dogs. My dogs were 9 years old at the time, but they came out looking like the fluffiest puppies!! The people at Yellow Roof were also so so kind and sweet throughout the entire process. Best haircuts my dogs have ever had and it grew out so nicely too. I highly recommend!!”

“Seamus - our 11 year old Beagle mix - has been a patient of Holmdel Veterinary Clinic for over a decade. (We also have Hopper - our crazy kitty who we adopted from one of HVC's veterinary assistants.)

Seamus just had his senior check up today. Unfortunately, Dr. Sturla found an issue that require's a specialist's care, so I'm a bit nervous and anxious about putting my sweet boy in the care of someone I don't know. I just hope everything goes well. Seamus is FAMILY. My husband and I need our sweet old sugar-faced puppy to live a long, happy, healthy life.

One thing I can say with complete confidence is that Dr. Sturla and his entire team truly care about their patients. My dog hates vet visits, but the staff at HVC are always so calm and gentle with him. I appreciate that they try to make the experience as stress-free as possible. (For both of us.) I'm an annoying "dog mom" who worries about every little lump and bump - but the staff at Holmdel Veterinary Clinic is always patient and accommodating. They take the time to answer every question and address all of my concerns. I never feel rushed or ignored. I am so grateful I found a veterinary clinic with such great staff! Everyone at HVC is always so welcoming and they make a such a fuss over Seamus. (He's such a little rock star!) It melts my heart to see how much they care. The people at HVC are true animal lovers. I knew I'd found a kind, compassionate vet the time I caught a glimpse of Dr. Sturla kissing my boy on the head. It was a small, sweet gesture, but it meant so much to me. It's definitely something I'll always remember.

He is literally the best and takes his time so you have a clear picture of what you are dealing with and breaks down the care plan so its not overwhelming but also doesnt sugar coat the situation. We experienced a terrifying emergency when my dog ingested a life-threatening amount of xylitol. I rushed him to Atlantic, and right as we walked through the door, he collapsed. The staff didn't hesitate for a second—they jumped right in and went to work to revive him. Because of their lightning-fast, expert actions, they saved him and got him stable enough to be transferred for continued critical care. If they hadn't acted so quickly, my boy wouldn't be here today.

I bought my cat in for an emergency visit on a Sunday and didn't have to wait too long to see a Dr. Unfortunately I found out some bad news and ended up having to say goodbye to my Franky, but the Dr was very compassionate and let me spend as much time as I needed with him. “Dr. Sinko and staff we're super helpful today! I came in for my pups yearly visit, plus we needed some allergy medication and to get his nails cut. I got a little impatient because I was sitting about 20 minutes past my appointment but once the doctor came in I can see that she was super busy and I know she cares about our pets, it's written on her face. She is super knowledgeable and always explains everything and even put us on a new medication she felt was better, I do appreciate you and the girls for helping cut Clutch's nails as I know he is a handful lol.
