First of all , I don't normally write up any review and especially any negative comments as I understand it is not easy running a business now .a story short, just passed by this place after work ONLY for their tempura done (DINE IN).they gave me in a paper take-out box. I told them i ordered DINE in NOT take-out. they said--oh...we went out of tray and bowl but it is the same food inside...well...presentation matters that is why I came all the way for fresh cooked fried food.I opened it...food was small portion and messy like a leftover doggie bag. I took the food back to the counter politely. They still said it is the same thing and "what do you want me to do , sir..."I TOLD them if you guys went out of tray and rice bowl. Asked me if you still want my food as "take-out", don't just pack my fried food in a box.. it will get steamed soft right away.they gave me my refund , I thought it was it..a few minutes later, the old guy ordered after me.. magically, his food was in a bowl but NOT mine..I came for their food and I walked away with NO food from them and full disappointment sorry WONT come by again...

Get number 3. Anago eel, egg, shrimp, vegetable and pepper. This is the tempura bowl you want. I get this almost every time. Sometimes I’ll get the shrimp with egg one but anago(salt water eel) is really good and rarely seen fried

Good spot for a light Japanese lunch. Recommend that you dine in instead of take out. This is the type of food you should eat fresh. Curry udon was nice. More simple than I thought as it appears they just dump curry sauce on top of a beef udon bowl. It wasn’t bad though. Miso soup was good too. I will be back to try the rest of the menu.

Food, even considering the usual buff of picture, is well.. a bit too far off. Wouldn't come here again. Service-wise, asexpected of any food chain like McD.

I got the shrimp tempura and eel rice bowl. The rice was very mushy and overcooked. The tempura was bland. The eel was void of taste. The meal was a disappointment.

Once loved this place, but getting worse.Portion of sushi is getting less, even not enough to finish rice. ground tuna was not worth to eat as it was not fresh at all.Disappointed and never back.

Food portion extremely small for the price tag 20 special bow is 3 piece fish a slice of shrimp, and some fish egg. Extremely overpriced. Quality isn't even that great.

I got the Uni Chirashi bowl for $20.98, this is without the miso soup. I think it's a good price for what you get, the ingredients are pretty fresh and tasty.

The Takoyaki is delicious. Creamy batter, tender octopus meat, and lots of bonito flakes.I’ve had the tempura with rice set before but my main gripe here is the tempura is small and not crispy enough. Their soba is fine, you can’t really mess up soba noodles after all.

I'd had a jewelry box from here years ago but for some reason never chose to eat here again until recently. I ordered an uni chirashi bowl and it surpassed my expectations for the price. There's not too much uni (as expected) but the ingredients in the bowl are fresh and well distributed within the rice. There is ample seasoning as well. I really enjoyed the bowl. Wish there was maybe a little more fish and less egg, but I'm also a fan of egg. Would come again and maybe try the scallop bowl next time.

So sad!! I just got home with my Hokkaido Chirashi bowl and the itty bit of uni that they gave me is so old and chemical tasting that my cat won't even eat it. The real crab in my bowl is watered down with fake crab. There's about 2lbs of rice and the tiniest bit of toppings. This place used to be SO good!! What happened?! Why are there angsty teens working here now instead of people who actually appreciate providing a meal for patrons. Obviously there's no ambiance because it's a food hall. But man, the food is so bad now. I spent $20 on a lunch for my trash can. (Because even my cats won't eat it!)

We went out yesterday and overindulged so when we decided to come to Mitsuwa for a sushi bowl, I was excited to eat something fresh!I got the Jewelry Chirashi bowl and it was pretty much what I was looking for. Bits of salmon, bits of tuna, shrimp, various vegetables, pickled ginger on top of a bed of rice hit the spot. Everything tasted fresh and there was a good bit of protein to start my day. For $15, I was expecting a little more raw fish but hey, I get it, times are hard, everything is more expensive now!If you're looking for something fresh to kick start your day, I'd stop by to get a bowl!

Hannosuke ✅If you like tempura, and anything fried similar to tempura, you must try this place, their tempura and fried veggies bowl is the best!Be ready for wait time varies from 30-60 mins, depends on which day and time you’re there, and remember to pay attention to your number so you can eat them as crunchy and crispy as they should. My order was: original tendon set #1 and assorted tempura #23. Both tempura are satisfying good and the crispy crunch very addictive! My lil one said the broccoli tempura is bumpy and tasted like chicken. You got 3 side dishes for each set of food you ordered, the egg, miso soup and pickle salad. You can order directly at the kiosk, or order on the tab they provided in front of the kiosk. Don’t forget to get rewards points each time you order.?595 River Rd, Edgewater NJ 07020Floor 1 of Mitsuwa Supermarket.⏰ daily 11.30AM - 07.30PM? available inside the supermarket building.♿️ accessible for both?️ parking lot around the building#hannosuke #tempura #preservefootprints
