Same great groceries. But the hot food has gone down hill. We're now going to Ugly Dumpling across the parking lot.

Absolutely fuming after today's visit to Ranch 99. Upon checking out, we discovered two items we didn't even purchase listed on our receipt—one being MilkFruit and the other some non-shiitake Mushroom. And then there was the Nagaimo mix-up (supposedly Chinese to be charged as Japanese). Turns out the MilkFruit, priced absurdly at $8.99/lb, was actually supposed to be Lotus Root, a far cheaper item at $2.99/lb. The so-called non-shiitake Mushroom? Bean sprouts, barely different in price but not what we picked. Only the Nagaimo was what it claimed to be, but even that was misplaced, causing confusion. Out of 19 items, two were completely incorrect, and one was dubious because of improper placement. How exactly does this store train its cashiers? It's unacceptable to expect customers to waste their time and energy returning for refunds. Utterly disappointed and irritated by the whole ordeal.

I am a 63 years old woman. I have patroned 99 Ranch Edison, NJ for several years. I never returned anything or exchanged anything. On average, their prices are acceptable, some are higher than others and some are lower. However, don't even think about bringing anything back for an exchange. Yes, I am just talking about an even exchange, not a refund! Three weeks ago, I bought a few bags of the GREENMAX green tea powder (with expiration date of June 2025). I had wanted to get a couple bags of the red tea flavor, but they didn't have it. Yesterday, I brought 2 bags of the green tea flavor back to exchange for the red tea flavor. I was met with a manager who was apathetic, unfriendly and care less that I just wanted to do an even exchange. The two flavors were priced the same when I bought them and I just wanted to exchange for a different flavor. The manager would not let me exchange unless I pay the difference between the regular price and the sale price!! I live an hour away from this store, I cannot go there every week. I definitely cannot go within the same week to exchange for a different flavor. The price for both flavors was identical. How does 99 Ranch lose money in this exchange???!!! No, 99 Ranch doesn't lose money but they are obsessed with taking money out of YOUR pocket!! It is outrageous that such a national chain would go out of its way to try to rip off its customers in every way it can! 99 Ranch doesn't lose money if I drink the green tea or red tea, they are priced the same! How awful it makes me feel that 99 Ranch tries to find ways to squeeze money out of its customers, even a 63-year old elderly!!

Nice Asian market off Route 1in Edison. This store had it all from freshlive seafood to bakery to imported teas and coffees. Their selection of fresh fruit and veggies was massive.Especially some Asian pears from China that have never seen at our local markets back home. Staff seemed friendly and helpful as I explored the aisles for holiday gifts . One thing I noticed how extremely clean the store was as several people were cleaning areas. Return: likely

I love this place! There's so much variety in food options, especially hot food. They are very clean and everyone is very helpful when you're in need of finding items or translating. I ordered from their hot food service station and received the tastiest and freshest fish I've had! Can't wait for my next trip

Large selection of Asian groceries and is one of the larger supermarkets in the area. I usually shop their meats (due to their meat counter and specials) and shellfish since they are priced competitively with H-Mart (usually lower or at the same price and quality imo). They also offer senior/student discounts on certain days. They have a food court, bakery, a sauerkraut soup place, and bubble tea (CoCo) in the building currently. Food Court is meh, bakery is average.

A huge assortment of Asian products from many different nations. The bakery section is extensive with many delectable treats. But I especially love their seafood fairly priced fish, shrimps and shellfish. They actually cook your selections also. Steamed or deep fried. A very varied selection of fresh fruits and vegetables too. There are many sale items throughout the store i look for.

Good grocery with lots of different produce, fish, meat, and dry goods. The store was clean and well organized with helpful signs marking most general goods. The customer service staff were quick and helpful. Only negative experience I had was that the person behind the fish counter could not answer my questions (pretty sure they did not speak English), but they were able to get me the seafood I requested.

It's good to eat different regional cuisine in the food court without shuttle between different restaurants and save tips.

This is more than just a supermarket - it's everything you need for Asian cooking AND a delicious hot food section. This place has groceries, home supplies, essentials, snacks, and a mini food court that sells fresh hot meals ALL FOR A LOW PRICE. I got a heaping plate of food for $12 (noodles with veggies and two types of meats). I literally can't wait to come back here for another plate.
