Great store!! But if you’re here to work on your computer, there are no outlets. I suggest going to the Edison public library right down the block instead, otherwise great store

I come here often to purchase books and have never had any issues. Last time when I was purchasing a book, a white worker (man) wearing a mask working as the cashier was totally rude. I was standing in line waited to get my stuff rang up and he was just talking with 2 other workers when I was clearly in line waiting and there was another person waiting in front of me in line. There were three workers there and they were chit chatting away, not caring about the line that had formed. The lady in front of me gets her stuff and I’m next. The dude rings my books up, and just waits for me to pay… he didn’t say how much the total was nor did he ask if I have a B&N membership, which I do have, and workers always say what the total is and ask for your membership. Then I pay and I ask for a paper bag and he tells me I should’ve brought my own even though the paper bags are free. Honestly it was a very weird interaction, kind of felt as if he was being racist and I didn’t feel welcome there. I wish I got that man’s name so I could post it here. He should work on some manners.

Super passive aggressive. I’ve been shopping at this store, for the past 16 years. While I was at checkout, inspecting the condition of my otherwise new books, the manager, who was at the other register, lost her patience and was like, “Pay. I want to leave by 5.” Mind you, Barnes and Nobles barely hires enough cashiers at the front. There was only one cashier working. Talk about rude. The cashier who was helping me was so kind and she was just doing her job, inspecting that the books that I had ordered to ship to the store were in good shape.
Then that lady I saw was huddled around in a circle with the other employees of the store.
Barnes and Nobles is a place known for their service, and years of experience handling books and their customers. I guess with the rise of e-commerce and Amazon, what matters most is making enough sales. A customer is just a number to them.
Shout out to the people working at the cafe.
Pros: convenient location
Great staff at the cafe
Kind and hardworking cashiers who are knowledgeable
Cons: occasional rude interactions
Lacking South Asian romance

Beautiful store. There wasn't much staff to help me...I needed to go to the checkout line and wait to be helped. nothing was looked up, I was just told where to find the book I was looking for if it was there. It wasn't. next time I will be sure to look up the book to see what store has it in stock before I go.

Parking is luck of the draw the lot is always full. They don't usually have what we are looking for.

Had an amazing experience today at this Barnes and Noble thanks to the help of Christa finding the Lego set I was looking for and the lovely young lady at the register being kind and helpful. One of my favorite Barnes and Nobles in the area

Wonderful, big store! Tons of selections and very friendly, helpful employees. Books, games, Legos, etc. Plus a Starbucks inside. Prices have gone up a lot but I still enjoyed grabbing a few books!
