Ed Garber was my mother and father's personal and professional accountant for over 4 decades.
He was always fair, friendly, efficient and honest with them.
After my mom passed away he showed me the same care, courtesy and professionalism that made them loyal clients for all those years.
He and his team are TRUE gems!

Our experience with tax accountant Ed Garber was utterly disappointing and unprofessional. Upon our first appointment, we arrived punctually only to be kept waiting for half an hour, with Garber then informing us that our time was limited to just 30 minutes due to him running over the previous meeting, even though we were promised an hour. He didn't want our meeting to run past 30 minutes and into the following clients time slot. This lack of regard for our time was aggravating, especially as new clients seeking thorough assistance. Opting to reschedule for a later date to ensure ample time for review, we were hopeful for a better encounter. However, our second visit proved even more disheartening as Garber displayed discriminatory behavior towards my wife, a minority. He made inappropriate comments questioning her high earnings and doubted her ability to start a business alongside her primary job, and as a mother. This unprofessional conduct left my wife visibly upset, prompting us to immediately terminate our association with Garber. His dismissive response of "Whatever, you can go" further emphasized his lack of respect and professionalism. Attempting to address his behavior, I voiced our concerns to Garber, emphasizing the importance of respectful communication with clients. However, his indifferent attitude and refusal to acknowledge his misconduct reaffirmed our decision to sever ties. Overall, our experience with Ed Garber was marred by poor time management, discriminatory remarks, and a complete disregard for professionalism, leaving us thoroughly dissatisfied and unwilling to recommend his services to anyone. Beware coming to this place of business as you'll be utterly shocked and experience his racist and sexist backhanded remarks.

If we could give this business zero stars we would. We received such horrendous customer service that caused a lot of issues. In our experience this tax preparer is unprofessional and lacks good communication skills. As such, in our experience we would never recommend this tax preparer. In our opinion, his nonchalant remarks that are made about various groups of people could be misinterpreted as discrimination. It's not okay to make biased or borderline racial remarks about certain groups of people in a business setting. It's in poor taste and shows a profound lack of character, judgement and moral compass. Based on our experience with this business, we would not recommend him to an ant that needed their taxes prepared.

Horrible accountant. Last year he took my paperwork because he was running behind for my appointment and said would call to review before filing, but never reviewed with me and just filled. He missed a document and when I brought it to his attention he said that if he had to fix it he would have to charge me for his time. Instead he said would adjust this year and pay the small fee. This year he opens my file and I have a statement from eBay for selling 4 used items for which I have receipts showing I paid way more than I sold for and he insisted that I had to show a $75 profit so that he wouldn’t risk being audited. When I said I didn’t feel comfortable falsifying my tax return by saying I made a profit he said he wouldn’t do my taxes! Then he gave me a hard time when I asked for a copy of my last two years returns so that I could go elsewhere. He said other places charge for that and that he couldn’t stop everything to print it, meanwhile I was there at my appt time so clearly he had the time. Finally his secretary printed it which took less than a minute. I went there for few years and can only imagine how much I have been overpaying. I really didn’t even want to return this year but because I moved and old returns were in storage I was lazy and learned a valuable lesson. See other similar review on here. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere or be prepared to over pay or under receive.

My husband ,myself and our business have been bringing our taxes to Ed for20 some years. Ed is a joy to work with. No problems:just solutions.He makes so easy for us. So glad we found him.

I've been going to Edward for two decades (and so have my parents) and we are all very happy with his services and style. He explains complicated tax rules in simple terms and being in his office feels like a trip to a mini-Cooperstown with his plethora of unique baseball memorabilia on display.

DO NOT USE!! used him for years just to find out our taxes were incorrect for years and instead of owning up to his mistake he told us there was no way he was ever wrong and wanted to charge us to correct the error!He doesn't understand anything about taxes and will steal your money

Kathy and I have been using Ed Garber for over 10 years and have been more than satisfied. So satisfied that since we moved to Tn, we mail our taxes to NJ for him to do them STILL. He is a fantastic accountant!!!!!!
