I don't like leaving bad reviews. But, this has to be the absolute worst Walgreens locations that I have been to. I placed an online retail order for pickup. They filled the order, but then a little while later it said "picked up". Meaning it was picked up by me & now I am getting charged for something I don't have. I called Walgeens customer service and they told me that I had to call this location directly to get this resolved. I called the store and I explained the situation to the woman that answered the phone. She then lied to me saying that Walgreens always charges before the items are picked up. I told her that I knew for a fact that what she was telling mew is not true. I asked her to refund it because I didn't appreciate the way she was speaking to me. She then left me on hold, looping in their que for the next 28 minutes. I kid you not! I finally got someone to help and get a manager involed. I told the manager what was going on and the manager did apologize, but could not refund the order because the employee had already marked it as picked up. The manager did give me Walgreens bonus points for the trouble. It was not the managers fault. But some training absolutely needs to be had here. I know that woman probably hoped that I would hang up after her leaving me on hold for so long. She sould have gotten someone to help if she didn't know how to fix her mistake instead of thinking I would just go away. I will NEVER go back to this location. If you don't like your job - or people - do something else.

Update 12/31/2024:
Went in person saw my usually pharmacy tech and he took care of the issue. I wish I remembered how to spell his name because he is the best and always knows how to resolve issues without too much fuss.
Original post:
Had to go back to this pharmacy when Edison pharmacy closed. I e had okay experiences when it was a straight forward fill.
Walgreens did not have all of my medicine so they gave me a partial fill (1 month) had to come back the following week for the remaining amount. Missed the pickup window due to the holidays and they are unable to fill the remaining amount. They blame the insurance.
This was the reason I originally left.
Anything that is outside of a typical fill is always an issue

After coming here for a few years I’ve decided this was my last trip to this Walgreens location. The staff here is so rude and dismissive, IF they’re even there to help you. Whether it’s the pharmacy, the photo center, or the lack of cashier it’s always something with this place. Would recommend any other location than this one 👎🏼👎🏼

I did not know a pharmacy that I have gone to for more than 5 years can tell me they will no longer fill my prescriptions. They told me to go to the walgreens in new brunswick that is 3 miles away. I have stage 4 bladder cancer and cant drive. This walgreens is 1 mile from my home. Well at least I no longer have to deal with the indifference of the pharmacy staff. I will Never go back.

I went to pick up medicine from pharmacy and that experience was good, however, after that my kid wanted to get chocolate and we were waiting to checkoutchocolate at register to find out there is no one working and waited for someone to come.
Another employee came and told us to check out at photo section register !!!
I didn't make any issue out of it after waiting for few minutes as there was no sign or any notes which suggest to go and check out at photo section!
I went and checked out those chocolate at pharmacy and on my way back out of store, same employee asks me even tough he just told me literally two minutes ago and seeing pharmacy medications in my hands along with my kid and gossiping with another employee while i was walking back from the store with my kid!!!! Very very bad customer experience and service.

After being a customer at the pharmacy for 10 years they denied my mother, a stage IV bladder cancer patient, her prescriptions after filling the same ones for years. Told a cancer patient with no mode of transportation to take her prescriptions to a pharmacy 5x the distance from her house. Provided no reason why and were just nasty and rude. If you want to reliably receive your medications don’t come here!

If I could give this store no stars I would. All staff including the manager are unprofessional, disrespectful, unknowledgeable, and unwilling to help customers. Go to any other Walgreens location or just go to CVS instead.

Cashier I believe her name is Maria couldn’t figure out how to load money on my card. Asked 3 times for manager assistance and she said the manager can’t help you and refused to get the manager and made me leave. Terrible even the customers in line were trying to tell her to just let the manager try to help me

This store is a joke on every level. Even if you call the corporate line to complain, nothing ever changes and things seem to get worse. The other day the manager of the pharmacy had me in the drive thru lane for over 30 minutes because they were clueless about how to use a savings card for my prescription. The first 20 mins they didn’t even say anything and just kept saying “one more minute”. Cars were piling-up behind me. I ended up driving off because they were making me late for an appt. Afterward I went into the app because I was going to use my old neighborhood Walgreens in Woodbridge and the manager at the Edison location cancelled my prescription even though previously it said “ready for pick up”. Who gave her the authority to just randomly cxl a persons prescription without the customers or providers permission? I contacted the Walgreens in Woodbridge via phone and while she also had problem with the savings card, she was much nicer and actually sought a resolution which was calling the help desk for manufacture of the prescription. Being that it was Friday night the help desk was closed but her name was Privash and she could teach the Edison Walgreens how to deal with customers. The pharmacy at this location always takes forever and seems to be clueless. The manager is not doing a good job. There used to be a nice guy there with dreads but I haven’t seen him in a while. Please get new management or train the ones you have. I ended up moving my prescription to the Walmart in Edison and with one quick phone call they were able to use my saving card. There is a thread on line about how incompetent Walgreens is regarding the savings card for this particular prescription. I will attach a photo that is found on the website that might assist the Walgreens pharmacy, but it is not the customers job to do the job of the pharmacists. I will be using Walmarts pharmacy from now on and give them my money, but that says a lot because I actually have to drive further for Walmart, they don’t have a drive-up, and I’m not a fan of Walmart either, but they are better than this Walgreens. Doing pick up for online orders or curbside pick up is equally as annoying as the items are often never ready when the app says they will be and if you are sick or do curbside nobody will ever come to your car. The bad experiences here far outweigh the few good ones and I’ve just given up on this location entirely. Sad because it’s the closest one to my house, but convenience isn’t always worth continuing to hand over our hard earned money to a business that seems to just not care and causes more stress than necessary. My prediction is that Walgreens will not be around in the coming years if they continue to treat ppl poorly.

I was very impressed with the cashier that assisted me. He was multi tasking by working the photo and the register. I needed assistance with passport photo and he came to help. At that time, customers were gathering to be rung up and someone else needed assistance in the photo. He asked for the lead on the overhead to come out and help him in the photo to ring me up for my passport photos and she did not. When I finally rang the assistance button, she came out but with no sense of urgency. Her name is Patricka. As a site lead, she should be running the floor and assisting alongside since it seemed like there were only them 2. She wasn't being a leader nor a team player. I think the leadership at that walgreens needs to be better or else the customer service satisfaction will continue to drop.

I placed an online order for pickup. During the online ordering process, I pressed the button to only shop for items that were "in stock." I purchased (1) 2 bottles of Tresemme shampoo (2) 1 pack of Scott toilet paper and (3) 2 bottles of Dove conditioner. After applying coupons and Walgreens rewards cash, the order totaled $11.32 and Walgreens immediately initiated a charge on my credit card. Approximately 30 minutes later, Walgreens sent me an email to advise that "Your order is delayed." Approximately 40 minutes later, Walgreens sent me an email to advise that they made an adjustment. They canceled the 2 bottles of Tresemme shampoo because they were out of stock and they updated the order total to $3.52 (after applying coupons and Walgreens rewards cash). First, Walgreens canceled items, but failed to update the pending charge on my credit card, which was still $11.32. Second, when I placed the online order, I enabled the button for "in stock" items only, so this never should have happened. When I picked up the item from the store, the Walgreens associate handed me a bag. The outside of the bag had my name and order number on it. (The Walgreens associate was not wearing a name tag, but was an young African American woman with long, frizzy hair). However, inside the bag was a completely different order. It contained an empty gift bag with white tissue paper, ear wax removal kit, deodorants, Dove body wash, and many other items. The dollar value of this order was much greater than my own order and I could have just taken it and walked off. Instead, I honestly told the Walgreens associate that they packed the order incorrectly. Frankly, I was astonished on their complete incompetence in their packing of the order. How do you confuse toilet paper with ear wax removal kits? Not a single item that I ordered was in there! The Walgreens associate seemed confused and tried to convince me this was my order. I explained to her that it was not correct and she finally conceded to looking up my order. She then left and passed the buck to a different Walgreens associate. I was left standing for a very long time at the photo counter with no one helping me. Since no one was helping me, I proceeded to locate the items in my order myself. I immediately found the toilet paper which was right next to the front door. I am not sure why they were taking so long and still did not locate it. I then proceeded to locate the Dove shampoo. There I spoke to another Walgreens associate and advised I was trying to fill my online order. (This Walgreens associate was a shorter African American woman with her hair tied in a pony tail). She looked up my order and attempted to find the Tresemme shampoo. I advised her that Walgreens already adjusted my order to exclude the Tresemme shampoo and they sent me an email about the adjustment, with the adjusted bar code. She then advised me that the Dove conditioner was also out-of-stock. Seriously? Again, when I placed the order, I pressed the "in stock" items only. On the shelf there were 2 bottles of Dove conditioner which were the same price and fluid ounces as what I paid for in my order. The Walgreens associate then discontinued helping me and advised she was going to help another customer. Really? I waited a long time and when she never returned, I brought the 2 bottles of Dove to the first Walgreens associate. As soon as I did, the second Walgreens associate finally returned and advised that I would have to cancel the entire order and re-run it. My concern was that my original order utilized rewards and coupon which would not be returned in time to apply to an in-store order. The shorter associate was unrelenting and unapologetic for all their mistakes. Shen then threw shade at me saying, "There are no open orders.", as if I am making up this order. Ridiculous! I have the email order confirmations and charge on my credit card (which is still showing on my credit card despite not receiving a single product from Walgreens)! Wasted 40 minutes in that store fo

I never want to go to this location ever again in life. I was very sick and had a fever, my brother was visiting from out of state on his way home so he ordered me a thermometer through instacart from this location. I get the Walgreens ear thermometer and it doesn’t work, won’t even turn on. My daughter comes to pick it up to exchange it for another one after I spoke with the manager Patrice. I open the second thermometer and same thing doesn’t work, won’t turn on. I call the store back to tell them I’m sick and I need my temperature taken but can’t do it because none of their Walgreens thermometers work. I go to the store to get another thermometer, not any with the Walgreens name and I get the Braun thermometer. This thermometer comes with batteries and 21 disposable lens filters and a protective case. When I open the box it’s missing the batteries and the 21 disposable lens filters, which is needed to take my temperature. Now I’m furious because if this is what Walgreens products are like when people are sick and need their products to aide them with whatever ailment they might have this is pathetic! And Walgreens has the audacity to charge $69.99 for this thermometer when I got the same one at Walmart for $44.97 and EVERYTHING it came with was in the box. I walked up to a manager with blonde hair and told her about my experience and she could care less. People beware buying things from this Walgreens, I will never go in there again.
