Dropped in for a 1030 class on a Wednesday in the summer while on vacation. Good group of folks, 15 people for a morning class, plenty of different belts and good training.

Train here!! I was in Brigantine for a family vacation and went to 609 on a Wednesday night. Professor Steve and all the students were extremely welcoming and I had a great night of training. The class was structured with a great warm up, high quality instruction and tough rounds to end the night. Whether you are in the area on vacation or live close by and are looking for a place to train full time, I highly recommend 609 Jiu Jitsu!!

Stopped in for an open mat while visiting the shore for the weekend. There was a good number of people of all skill levels to roll with. Everyone was very friendly and there was no pressure to perform at any level. I'll definitely be back in the future!

I had a blast visiting, and can't wait to go back. Super family friendly vibes and highly detailed technical instruction. I was really pleased with the pace of drilling, and the open dialogue while techniques were being demonstrated.

I’m a visiting black belt from out of town, I know good jiu-jitsu schools when I see them and this place is it. Great energy, great instruction, would absolutely recommend for all levels/ ages

An excellent place to train! Steve was very welcoming to me (a visitor from another school out of the area) and so was the rest of the class. The pace of the class was great - from the initial flow rolls, right up to the live rolls at the end of class; I felt like it was all forward progress and not just sitting around; I had the time and the reps to really get into the technique and think about how I could add it to my game. Overall: Clean facilities, generous mat space, and quality no-nonsense instruction. Stop in!

I dropped in to train while visiting the area. Everyone was very welcoming, and I really enjoyed the class structure.I have been training almost 20 years now and I would recommend stopping in at 609 if you are in the area.

Me and my friends went to the beach for vacation and we stopped by this school to do jiujitsu. Awesome school with awesome people, everyone is very knowledgeable and friendly. Recommend anyone that wants to do jiujitsu to check this place out.

I was visiting from out of town and had the pleasure of training at 609 Jiu Jitsu. The instructors and students were all super welcoming, and the class was great. I highly recommend this dojo to anyone looking to train Jiu Jitsu. I hope to be back next time I am in town.

We came here while on vacation, Steve and everyone else at the gym made us feel at home and gave us a great welcome. Everyone was super nice, friendly and taught us some good techniques. 10/10 atmosphere and overall experience

I did an open mat for a holiday weekend here for some rolls & meditation. Overall a wonderful experience at the school. Students were welcoming, clean, knowledgable, and good to roll with. A noteworthy mention is how they were hosting a charity roll to support veterans, which I regretfully did not make that weekend however that in itself is a really good sign of owners who CARE hats off to YOU..I had the opportunity to roll with two bb's close to my age. It was a pleasure for me to roll with them, talk and hang in the parking lot. I hope to train again in the next couple months and thank you for the hospitality.

Second Woman's Self Defense class today. Lots of great techniques taught and lots of fun even when discussions get serious. The basics are reviewed each time, but every class is different, so we have a variety of techniques to keep ourselves safe (that we hopefully will never have to use). The coaches are honest, straight forward and truly care about the students.

This place is a wonderful thing lace to learn crucial defensive technics. The instructors are kind understanding and very helpful. Perfect jiu jitsu gym for anyone of any athletic level. My six year old daughter goes here and absolutely loves it. I’ve started attending classes with my husband as well and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. They also have free women’s self defense classes that was both educational and empowering. Once you start here you won’t regret it!
