“I used to shop at Walmart for my pet needs because it was convenient, as I'd grab my pet items as I would food shop for my family. Basically one stop shopping. One day I stopped in Petco because I was noticing my dogs were having dry scalp and I wanted to see if maybe they had any advice since there isn't anyone at Walmart knowledgeable on anything. After I walked in, I've never left! They were so helpful. If someone doesn't have an answer for something you ask, they do not walk away without finding someone who does know. I don't know the training process for working there but it seems to me that everyone knows so much useful information. Every so often I see someone new, and they are not quite as knowledgeable which to to be expected, but they always apologize and get someone who is knowledgeable on the subject. And yes, my pets go to their vet regularly so I could always call their vet. But it's really nice when I can walk into my local petco with questions and they are so helpful! I go in there so often, they know who I am and I know who they are. It's really like a pet family!!! Place always looks clean and you can find pretty much everything you need. Definitely download their app. They price match on their website and they have a great vital care program that also saves money. I have 3 dogs, 2 pet rats, and a cat currently in my home. They meet all their day to day needs. Very rare something is out of stock. I have learned that the quality of my pets food is actually very important. I used to worry about price more then the quality. Everything in petco is a high quality and once you figure out which food works best for your pet (please take gel from the employees to figure that out if you are unsure) there will be no more itchy dry skin,issues with bathroom, digestion, etc. I didn't realize before, all those unnecessary fillers were not helping my dogs and the food was not geared towards my pets specific needs.
