Whether I’m stopping by their annual farmers market- which has a ton of great vendors with food, decorations, and all kinds of cute stuff, or hanging out at their summer events with live music, drinks, and a chance to wander around the farm and see the animals, it’s just always fun. “Went on two Friday walks this year. Had Mary as a guide both times. Her knowledge of the birds, bird calls and plant life was extensive. It’s a beautiful natural area and the building has just been renovated. They were planning a special Saturday on monarch butterflies when I visited. Especially enjoyed seeing northern flickers, crows and chipping sparrows and learning more about the plants and trees.”

“I have been wanting to visit this thrift store.....and WOW! It's a small train depot...very quaint and the prices are extremely reasonable for name brands. Proceeds go to the local schools. Let's assist them in their humble goal! Cannot wait to go back!!!”

“I have adopted from this shelter twice and it is phenomenal. The way it is run by Christine Conte and the care for all the animals is the best around. These animals get the best medical care and so much love. The staff is very kind and knowledgeable. All the volunteers give the best love and care to the animals and work so hard to get them all adopted. The cats I adopted from them you could say were rescued but I was the one that was really saved. All absolute loves of my life. So much happiness and joy this shelter has given me and I would always think of them first when adopting, THE BEST IN RESCUE!??❤️”

“I could not more highly recommend their guided kayak tours (especially the full moon ones, which we did!). Team is amazing, so caring, enjoyable and knowledgable. And the natural setting/views are simply gorgeous—and a study in contrasts! (Soaring blue herons and egrets, incredible reeds and marsh life, yet with I95 just off in the distance and one train track overhead)! Do not miss the opp to see this ecosystem through Hackensack Riverkeepers’ eyes. A must do.”
