I normally wait a while before writing reviews because first impressions are always good — consistency is what really matters. After a few months of ownership and multiple interactions with this dealership, I can confidently say they continue to deliver exceptional service across the board.
Most recently, I dropped my vehicle off for a warranty repair and once again received outstanding care. Even though the issues were fairly complex and required detailed diagnostics, the team had everything identified and resolved within just a couple of hours. Their expertise with electric vehicles is unmistakable — true professionals who get it right the first time. The hour drive to this dealership is absolutely worth it.
I also want to recognize Bill, my salesperson when I purchased the car at the beginning of the summer. His professionalism, patience, and attention to detail were exceptional. He never rushed me, answered every question thoroughly, and made the buying process smooth and stress-free. Months later, his continued support only reinforces that this was the right choice of dealership.
On top of the fast and accurate repair, the detail team went above and beyond with a full interior and exterior cleaning. The car genuinely looks brand new. From sales, to service reps, to techs, to the detailers — every department here consistently gets it right.
Thrilled to have the car back after only a day or two of waiting. Truly an A+ experience, every time.

My purchase started out originally as an online deal Rebecca and John from finance were very helpful and working out a deal ,when I arrived at the dealership A salesman named Bill helped us the rest of the way and it was great. He was great to work with. Definitely would recommend family and friends to check this place out. I come from Pennsylvania and would go back again.

The entire buying experience was outstanding. Tony had a genuine concern for our needs, and he went the extra mile to make sure our purchase went smoothly, without any problems. The entire staff at Elkins Chevrolet was a pleasure to work with. They took care of everything in a professional, courteous manner. The car we purchased was a great car at a good price. I have been taking my vehicle to this specific chevy location for service to my vehicle for a while. The last few times I have had my vehicle serviced had not been a good experience . The last time I bought my vehicle in, I had concerns with my microphone when I talk through my car and noise coming from my vehicle when I accelerate. I have 3rd party protection on my vehicle, so I had to pay the deductible and they paid for repairs. During the process, I never got an update from my service provider on what was going on with my vehicle, I had to call and ask for an update. she would literally speak to my 3rd party insurance but not communicate with me on what was going on. Anyways, I paid for the repairs and came back for the repairs a different day pending parts arrival. I was told the service would be about 2-3 hours which worked with me because I work up the street. The plan was that drop it off at 8am, and repairs done by the early afternoon. At 3:00, I called and asked about my car and was told 30 more minutes they were just finishing up and that she would call me when the shuttle would come. By 3:30, I did not have a call and 5 mins later i seen the shuttle and was told he thought the service provider called me. I just wanted my car so I did not complain.
Jump to now, literally a few months later, the same issues I had are back. I just paid to have these issues resolved. Now I am told its my engine and something else with my microphone (which was replaced!) Once again, I had to call for an update. They are charging extra hours for the engine that my insurance would cover but they state they have to charge me 2 extra hours because I am not spending $4,000 on their engine. I have an older vehicle, I dont meed an OEM part that cose close to my vehicles value.
I have a discount card that i was mailed that takes money off when you get a specific amount in repairs but I was told I cant use it…They can look at my chart, and see i’ve spent A lot of money with them and they don’t care. At this point I am done. The customer service is not the best and I am not without a vehicle longer than expected. I plan on towing my vehicle out to be done with this

Great Experience! - buying my first Chevy Truck from Elkins Chevrolet. Lori Simpson was great - explaining my options, the cost and the entire process, including all the buttons and dashboard features after the sale. Everyone at Elkins was great to work with from finance to service.
I will absolutely be back when its time for my next truck.

The service was terrific as was Mike, the service representative. A very nice dealership that is well maintained both inside and out. I didn’t interact with anyone but Mike, but all seemed personable and friendly.

Extremely Disappointing Experience — Poor Communication & Lost Opportunity
I’ve thought about letting this go and not leaving a review but I want to help others avoid this kind of frustrating experience that gave me a bad night sleep. I’ve been searching for a used vehicle with a very specific configuration for quite some time, it’s extremely difficult to find the exact config. When this dealership listed one online with no photos and “Call Dealer for Price,” I decided to try my luck and called immediately in the morning. They told me the car had just arrived and was so new that they didn’t have pictures yet, then they took photos for me—and it turned out to be the exact configuration I had been searching for.
I requested a quote right away. They told me they would send one shortly.
I waited the entire day. No quote.
I called again later in the afternoon and was told the same thing: I would receive a quote by the end of the day. Before they closed, I called two different salespeople asking again about the quote and also asking if they could hold the vehicle. They said they could only hold it with a deposit, but that it was unlikely anyone else would take it that fast. I explained that I couldn’t put down a deposit without at least knowing the price. They reassured me again that I would receive the quote that day. We even scheduled a video call for the next morning so that, if the price was right, I could move forward immediately.
Everything seemed straightforward and reasonable.
But later that evening—not only did I still not receive the quote, they informed me that they had accepted a deposit from another buyer.
This was extremely frustrating because I had called first, requested the quote, explicitly asked for a hold, and made it clear that I would have been ready to put down a deposit or even close the deal the same day if they had simply provided the price they promised multiple times. Instead, I waited all day while others were given the chance to move forward. None of the delay came from my side. And they didn’t give me a chance to put down deposit first before they took one from others.
At that point, I honestly didn’t know what to do. I read the replies this business made to the other bad reviews here and saw the request to call to reach someone in management. I tried and I did get to speak with someone, but all I was told was that there were seven buyers extremely interested in the vehicle and that there was nothing they could do because they have multiple salesmen so it’s not easy for them to communicate internally in a timely manner. And that was it.
The sales manager reiterated the same thing: seven aggressive buyers, and nothing could be changed. That makes this situation even more disappointing, because if they knew there was heavy interest, it would have been basic courtesy to give me the opportunity I had requested—especially since I had already initiated everything well ahead of others.
Had they simply given me the price when promised and I chose not to put down a deposit, that would have been entirely on me. But that’s not what happened. I lost the chance solely because they did not follow through on their own commitments.
Overall, the lack of communication, follow-through, and fairness was extremely disappointing—especially for a high-value purchase. This team needs better protocol and proper training for internal communication.

We were shopping for a car and stopped at Elkins. Our salesman was Phil and he was transparent and informative. Phil was transparent and listened to what we wanted. He gave us great suggestions and even though they didn't have the color we wanted he was able to locate a Trax and we went back to complete the delivery process within a couple of days.
We recommend Elkins and specifically Phil. Phil followed up after the sale to check on us and asked if we had any questions. I have reached out to Phil after delivery with several questions. He always took the time to get back to me and give me an answer and recommendations.
When you shop at Elkins, ask for Phil.

The experience was wonderful. No pressure and I felt at ease with the sales team (Bill Wiler) and finance as well. The whole process was easy and enjoyable. I’ll recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a new or used top quality vehicle. Amazing job Elkins.
