Curly girls, this one’s for you!
Going in for a curly haircut usually feels like a gamble—but Dena? Dena understood the assignment from the second I sat in her chair. She and her (equally amazing!) assistant—whose name I sadly can't recall, but who was just as phenomenal—completely eased my nerves and made the entire experience feel like a collaboration instead of a cut-and-hope-for-the-best situation.
Dena asked thoughtful, specific questions about my curl goals, listened to every concern, and made sure my hair felt like me—just the most confident, refreshed, and shaped-up version of me.
Beyond the expert care, what really stayed with me was how genuinely sweet and welcoming both Dena and her assistant were. Our conversation flowed so naturally, and I left feeling not only more confident in my curls but also lighter in spirit. It felt like chatting with friends who just happen to be curl whisperers.
The vibe in the salon was warm, inclusive, and just the right amount of cool. You can tell this is a team that truly gets curls—and even more importantly, they truly care.

I absolutely love this salon! Perfect vibe and everyone is so nice! I love their music selection. My hair always looks so good when I leave there and I've seen multiple different stylists. This place is a must if you're looking for a fun & professional place to get your hair done!

To Marlene G, There are a few corrections that need to be made.. 1st you've been my client for over 10 years not 8. 2nd you've never expressed discomfort while my 10lb puppy was at the salon during your appointments. 3rd How can i be constantly angered when you bring it up if you've never brought it to my attention before? Also, i know it's alarming but dogs in-fact bark. Instead you question my staff if anyone else is annoyed that my dog is at the salon or if she has ever bitten anyone? As soon as i learned of your questioning I quickly addressed them with you privately noting that no she has never bitten anyone & that she is vaccinated & has paper work allowing her to be present. I do have a private room with a kennel if ever anyone has a concern. I would not put anyone in an unsafe position. You immediately interrupt me to tell me that im angry. My voice and tone was not elevated. In fact the 8 ppl within ear shot of this conversation were perplexed by your disposition. Your history of fighting with family neighbors and coworkers is something you've openly shared. That day it was my turn to receive your disrespect. After quietly waiting for you to voice your concerns i asked if you wanted to stay to receive the excellent 5 star perm & haircut "you can always count on" and you said "Yes". I then proceeded to begin the service you continued with your accusation of me. I removed your cape and towel thanking you for the years spent with me while notifying you that i will not be servicing you again. Perhaps you haven't encountered anyone creating a boundary to your behavior before? I hope you're kinder to your next stylist. Best wishes! Enclosed is a photo of my puppy Lola.

I have been a client of Vickey for 8 years. I have a scheduled monthly appointment. Vickey adopted a small dog a few years ago and I was happy for her. Over the last two years she has the dog in the salon. I love dogs and have no problem with this. However, the dog has adopted the habit of running out the door when it is opened and circling me and barking and growling. I have seen the dog actually run out the door and chase, bark and growl at people walking thru the strip mall. At this time Vickey had some device that shocks the dog to stop it's behavior. She wears this device clipped to her apron. I had an appointment today and when I opened the door the dog bolted toward me and I stepped back and waited until someone got the situation under control. I am not scared of dogs but when this happens it is very uncomfortable. I have never complained, however, what does bother me is Vickey gets very angry at ME and the atmosphere is very unsettling. This has happened many times. It happened today and I tried to speak to Vickey about the fact that she gets so angry. I said that I had no anger with the dog but her demeanor and obvious behavior toward me throughout my appointment was very uncomfortable. At this point, my hair had been washed. She told me to leave, go to another salon. She removed my towels and cover and I had to leave with my hair wet. Anyone in hearing distance of this encounter can attest to our conversation. I was not angry. I did not raise my voice. It was a stunning encounter.

Have pretty much always had my hair done here. Staff is always welcoming and my hair always looks great! I've had root touch ups, ombré and haircuts and I am always impressed!!!
