The epitome of a DIY fail fixed by Mel. Not only did she dedicate the majority of the afternoon for this beautiful transformation, she fit me in so fast after I called in a total panic. Mel always goes above and beyond to make sure her clients are ecstatic with the end results. I’ve had my lashes and hair done by her and I can say I’ve never had a stylist so patient and understanding, i’m so thankful to have found her! Doing your own hair can be fun, there are professionals like Mel who get paid for this for a reason. She will not disappoint!

I followed Melanie to this salon when she graduated beauty school. She has been the only one to touch my hair in years. I am ALWAYS pleased with how my hair comes out. Each visit is also very pleasant. The staff is always warm and welcoming! Definitely would recommend this salon, over and over!

I’m a recent transplant to the area and had the same hair professional for years. I loved my salon, so I was a little nervous about going to a new place. The recommendations from the LNC community were great. I’m transitioning from colored hair to my natural grey and hadn’t had a haircut since before Covid. Jen talked it through with me, made suggestions, and made the most of my natural curls. She event spent some time educating me about what I can do going forward. She was pleasant and friendly. The salon is lovely and has a fun vibe. I’ve found my new place.

Rhonda is the only stylist I would ever trust with my hair! I've been going to her for the past five years, and I was thrilled when I saw that she opened her own place. She did my wedding hair this summer and is so flexible and friendly. Rhonda always gives me her honest opinion about the cut/color/style I want, and we always have a great conversation while she does my hair. I'm new to the area and was looking for a place that could do my natural hair. I made an appointment online easily for the next afternoon. The salon is smallish but very well decorated and clean. Everyone was very friendly and polite, and I was taken to a wash station immediately. I had originally booked my appointment for a deep conditioner with Rhonda, but was taken care of by Mikayla instead who did a great job with that and my two strand twists. The only thing I would suggest is confirming the beautician and the service being received when the customer first walks in so there's no confusion. The prices were very reasonable and I'll definitely be coming back.

Head First has a very nice relaxing environment. The stylist there are awesome, professional, and take their time doing your hair. If it is not what you expected they will go above and beyond to make it look the way you wanted it. Time is not an issue with them at all. I am very pleased with my stylist Mary. She has been a cosmetologist for 35yrs and doesn't rush at all. When you are finished she makes sure you are satisfied with the outcome and if not will start from the beginning to make you happy. From what I see of the other stylists, they are the same way and NEVER let you walk out not happy. Besides myself, My 19yr old daughter goes there and so does my 12yr old daughter. I have been to alot of salons and none of them compare to Head First Hair Designs Salon. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I have been going to head first designs salon for over 2 years. My experience with Andrea had been great! However, she left and new management took over. Most recently, I came in for a hair cut with a new stylist and decided to get my eye brows waxed while I was there. Big mistake.
