I like national as a brand but will NEVER go back to this location. We had an issue with a tire while driving the rental. Went to a National where we were, followed their instructions and this manager will not reimburse even after calling corporate 4 times and being told we should be reimbursed. I don't understand why there is no one above the manager to go to. She told corporate she called me but she didn't. She had someone else call at 9:15 at night and said you aren't getting it. Give it up. She has no customer service or people skills. Do not go here.
Lisa S, you replied to me last night and I already reached out. You didn't read the entire review. Reaching out just puts a complaint to the manager who continues to ignore it. I tried this route 4 times!

Returned my car here as a one way rental. No clear signs where to return the car so ended up parking curbside at the terminal. Arrived to a sign on a desk with no attendant in site. When he came back he told me I had to go park the car in a lot about 200 yds away and return the key to him. What!? Not the customer experience I’ve seen from other National rental car places where they value their customers. . Also didn’t inspect the car so I took lots of pictures on my own for my protection. I know it’s a small airport, but they need a more customer friendly check in process with clear signage. Looks like it doubles as an Enterprise so they certainly should staff it right.

Super easy smooth and convenient. They gave me an option of about 5 vehicles and I will be using national again

Good staff. Parking lot for rental cars too far away from airport lobby, especially in inclement weather.

They have me on Do not Rent list/ Have called 4 numbers and they won't advise why or unlock my account. Account is corporate linked. The issue shows as during COVID lock-down and I also no longer lived in NJ at time so appears they allowed someone else to use my account and commit fraud (likely my Ex-wife). Notifying my company to cancel out National use account.

Dangerous vehicle and horrible customer service. I was given a defective vehicle. The replacement vehicle was the most basic economy vehicle and is not big enough for my family. I have been trying to get this resolved for over 24 hours and my family and I are stuck. Costumer service says that I have to resolve the issue with the branch but there is no way for me to speak with the branch without driving all the way back there. Go to Hertz or another competitor!

Really bad National location. One executive elite, and they don’t let you pick your car, or really make a request. Made complaints to the manager and the regional mgt (Ron withers) and they never responded the first few times. Just a poorly run location with bad management. Now I rent other places, other than National.

We've used this National many times. The staff is friendly and attentive. The shuttle bus driver helps with your bags and we were greeted at Emerald Isle and offered cold water bottles. That was a nice touch after a delayed flight in.

Due to the pandemic I had to wait inside the airport for 30 while the attendant drove to give me the keys. She only had one car to choose from, i was disappointed. A small SUV barely had enough room for my gear and wife, crowded 1000 mile ride. Won't do that again.

They certainly made me feel VIP. The customer service rep gave me her card and upgraded me without asking. Tremendous service!

The service at the airport was excellent. However, the car that was allocated broke down and then we could not reach Roadside Assistance. AAA responded and reached us to the nearby airport.Overall experience poor.
