“I can understand PC's untainted reputation of 5 stars by the local neighborhood.Glen, one of the managers, and David, are some of the most helpful people around. I bought paint from this store twice and our bathroom upgrade turned out fabulous.Why go to Home Depot when you have Paint Can right here, with everything you need? You will not get the same attentiveness and care there that you will here. Also, the prices are no cheaper at any other hardware retailer. I would rather give it to the good people of this store who work hard to retain their small business. 10/10!!!”

Dan answered and he was extremely helpful. He told me to order the item online and he would ship it out. Took him less than an hour to do so. That is great customer service. “I visited Red Star Paint for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I was interested in repairing a broken slat on a relatively new Hunter Douglas window treatment (not purchased at Red Star). Ryan was super helpful, so much so that he has managed to get Hunter Douglas to replace the entire window treatment at no charge to me. Incredible customer service, and I'll take all future paint/decorating business to Ryan from here on. Thank you!”

“Another reason why you should shop local! Bought a few 5 gallons of paint a week ago. They told me as long as it's not opened. I can return anything I don't use. As you know a 5 gallon bucket of paint is quite heavy. I went to return 1 gallon and I could not find parking in front and there was no way I was getting it in my self from parking elsewhere. Called the store and they told me that they have a parking lot in the back and told me exactly how to get there off of Personette. 15 years I've been coming here and I have never known they had a lot in the back so a good FYI for everybody to know. I get there and the gentleman was waiting out back for me with a cart. I can never say enough good things about this store. They are always very helpful and they always go out of their way and this is why you should always shop local especially for paint at Paintland!!!”

“I love Ace Hardware in River Edge cause of the paints, grills, and everything else. My program works at Ace Hardware on Tuesday's to clean the grills, sweep the floors, fix the shelves, and restock the shelves. My grandparents, Aunt Chrissy and Uncle Mike sometimes go to Ace Hardware to pick up things for their houses. I also ran into Mr. deMarrais while I was at Ace Hardware. Ace is the Place for the helpful hardware folks.”

“The best Ricciardi there is!!! They have the biggest selection and most importantly, exceptionally knowledgeable on there products. A store runner by name of Jim I believe matched a formula for stain on some wood I had to refinish. He even tested the stain he made up on small piece of the same wood we replaced to match the old and it was beyond perfect. I'm extremely impressed. They did it all free as well. They go the extra mile and know their paints”

“We had a roof put on our back room, which necessitated the removal of two pieces of vinyl siding. Our contractor got two replacement pieces and went ?somewhere? with a piece of ours, to match the color. He painted the two pieces with the "matched" paint and hung the vinyl back up. Not even close!! Our home is a creamy light yellowish and the paint was green. Paint supplier swore it was the same color and it looked ridiculous! We went to Sherwin Williams in Oakland with a piece of our siding and they nailed it to perfection! We covered up the ridiculous green and even used it to cover up other scratches, stains etc. Very happy and will definitely come back to the professional for all our paint needs!”

“I have been to this store on multiple occasions over the years and am generally OK with the services received. Today was the exception. Some amateur comedian was at the desk and clowned around with me while I was there to pick up an online order placed last night. At after 1000 a.m., the order was not ready; the web site indicated the order was going to be available two hours after opening (0700 a.m.). I indicated I had not received an email indicating the order was complete when asked -- and then he looked it up and discovered they had an order that was not yet processed. Three people were at the front desk and no one was doing anything substantial other than talking when I arrived, so no one was paying attention to business. So, while another individual made up my order, the comedian tried again to joke with me about the paint color chosen. I corrected him and he said he was just joking around. I didn't react at all, but didn't indicate I was amused either. I remained polite and was very quiet as I received my receipt and paint cans and left. Be prepared for a wait, if they are busy, not to have your order ready if placed online. My wait wasn't very long, but if that had been the excuse they provided me had I asked why I had to wait or why my order wasn't done earlier, I might have had a funny retort for them. But I wasn't amused by the scenario. Very unprofessional and not what I expect at a retail store.”

“I recently renovated my kitchen, and the last thing to be done was selecting a paint color. I thought that would be the easiest decision among all the choices that I had just had to make, but it was overwhelming in that there were so many options. Were it not for Jane, I would likely still have several paint swatches taped to my wall, unable to make a decision. She was so incredibly helpful. Specifically, she was an excellent listener and helped me to see and think about things that otherwise would not have occurred to me. Utilizing her skills saved me money because it spared me from making a costly mistake (i.e.; having to repaint the kitchen after being dissatisfied with the color). The cherry on the sundae is that she is warm and someone with whom it is very easy to connect. Having Jane as a color consultant made all the difference, and because of her I love the the way the color of my kitchen works with everything else in the room!”
