Working with Tammie and Patricia was a smooth process. They were always readily available to answer any questions I had, or got back to me in a timely manner. Both went over and beyond to ensure I was able to close on time.

Fantastic company, and we will always use them for our loan needs. We recommend them with the highest confidence. Our go to person there is named Jon Whitney. The best!

Difficult to deal with, unable to get insurance escrow issues resolved. I have spent more time waiting on the phone than getting helped. Usually, it starts with transferring from one location to another without any help... Really showed promise until I signed up with them but I guess that is how it goes...

There was very good communication and clarity. The loan was affordable and everything was explained well. I felt comfortable trusting Robert and his team with one of the most consequential expenses of my life. (refinancing in Connecticut)

Stay away. You will do all the work while Carl answers the phone and gives another excuse . With each call you fall deeper into the unprofessionalism this office represents . I have excellent credit . I called for a refi ( foolishly as I was a previous customer giving Carl business during this pandemic) Carl will pick up the phone but he will push you off on an incompetant employee who will NOT call you back. Called Carl and Mike in August. Was greeted and asked for info which I gave . Credit came back excellent , above average . Was told Mike would call me in 2 days . I waited a week, then called . Carl apologized and said he and Mike would call back . Another week no call. I called Carl. He again apologized and promised to process .... Nothing . Two more weeks and I called Carl. He again made excuses for unprofessionalism and lack of customer respect. He promised they were on it and I would get refi done within a month. Another 2 weeks...nothing. I called back and this time Carl was not only rude but sarcastic . He tried to explain to me I was number 41 on their list and he was servicing number 40.... I asked why he did not state any of this and he responded he was busy. I would like to note I stayed patient only because he was recommended by loan Depot. His response to leading a customer on for so long .... We will get to you you need to be patient . When I asked how much more patient he wanted me to be he rudely reminded me my place in turn was next. If that was not good enough after approx 3 mo " go somewhere else " Who speaks the a customer or tretas them like this ?!?! This is an absolute trash location and Carl is an embarrassment to the industry. I did go else where , got a better rate thanentioned back on day one . The company I used called me daily , did all the paperwork Carl was attempting to get me to do, waived the appraisal cost ( Carl was charging 500fie that )and completed my refi in 34 days !!!!!Stay away from this schemer ... Or watch unprofessional incompetence

We've bought a few homes in Essex County, all with loans from Carl at LoanDepot, and the experience has been fantastic. Carl is always available to us via cell phone and has a fantastic team.
We also sell real estate in the Montclair area and we have never regretted giving Carl's number to clients. If I had my way he would be the only lender we use.
Can't recommend highly enough.

DO NO GO WITH THEM. I am a first time home buyer. I was shopping around for mortgage rates during February 2017 and was contacted by Mortgage Master. We emailed back and forth a few times (3-4) for some general questions, nothing specific about my case. I was then asked for "agreement of sale", DL, bank statement and W2 on February 23rd 2016. Then it went silent. I thought it was dead end. On March 1st, a different agent asked me again for DL, pay stub, W2 and bank statement. I was busy and I did not reply. Then they pulled my credit without my permission. (They went on asking for permission to pull credit on MARCH 13TH 2017.) On March 2nd, they sent me a huge package asking to sign (34 files tons of pages). Then they went silent again. On the 13th they asked for permission to run credit. They also asked for verification of visa renew and so on. I was not able to provide. (I am a foreigner on a specific visa). I thought we would stop here sadly. I was wrong. I was later approached, without these information, that they approved my application!!??? I later on knew that appraisal was done on 13th!!! I never knew this before. Now they want me to pay for appraisal. During the process I asked many times that I need to know if the underwriter is ok with my visa status, that I don't want appraisal before this. They never get back to me. I finally closed with another bank. A few weeks AFTER the closing, they called me to ask about loan application. I told them the truth. They are not happy. Now they want me to pay for the fees that I did not agree on anyway. Oh by the way, i was contacted by no less than 5 different agents from their office and they are not always on the same page. confusing.
